I think everyone feels that 2012 has a been a crazy year already and it's only half over. Who knows what the rest of the year has in store for us and no I don't believe the Mayan stuff. But when all else fails you still have art to brighten your day.
I was talking with the guys at 1xRun about doing a giveaway for one of their killer pieces of art and we decided on this one by Matt W Moore. Vectorfunk is the name Matt Moore gives to the abstract digital artwork that he creates using Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics are created by arranging points to create form, as opposed to raster graphics that are made up of pixels. Many years ago while Matt was in school learning graphic design, he immersed himself in this method of rendering images.
One of the other reasons we choose this one is 1xRun.com is opening the archives again this weekend. Starting today they will be pulling rare and sold out screen prints from their archive and putting them up for sale. Maybe some artist proofs, maybe some sold out posters you will have to keep checking to see what appears.
The 2012 poster by Matt W Moore is 19 x 25 inch 6 Color Screen Print on 140 lb French Paper with a signed and numbered edition of 50
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments to leave a comment about what the best part of 2012 has been for you to have a chance at winning the poster. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until midnight PDT Saturday June 23 that's two days to enter with the winner announced on Sunday.
Since some people can't read instructions if you leave more than one comment I will be deleting them all and you will have to do it again, meaning if Sally leaves 3 comments I will delete them all and she will have to do it again. ONE comment per person. It's not that hard, we're not saving lives here just giving away a poster.
Thanks again to 1xRun for providing the killer poster for the giveaway today and be sure to keep an eye out for the prints they are selling during the Archive Screen Print Sale this weekend
