A new concert poster for briefly-reunited 90's underground icons and Crosshair favorites Codeine, created in collaboration with Chicago abstractionist heroes Sonnenzimmer.
This print began life as Crosshair's second Codeine poster, following a first produced for their recent performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
For the Chicago show July 1st, I wanted to do something more unconventional, and take some risks. After developing a landscape image inspired by a couple of songs on the band's 1992 Realize EP, I handed the separations of to Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi at Sonnenzimmer, so that they might turn it inside out. And turn it inside out they did. The resulting collaboration was printed at Crosshair in the last week of June, and was first available at the show.
Big 23 x 23" 9-color silkscreen print, edition of 180, signed by the artists. Available now, $40 in the store: http://crosshair.bigcartel.
