Jay Ryan Autumn Arrives & Day Labor Prints Release Details

Here is Jay Ryan's newest print, called Autumn Arrives, which will be released on Friday, September 6, around 12pm Chicago time. The print is 18 by 24 inches, printed using six screens on French (brand) Speckletone paper in "kraft" color. Signed and numbered edition of 600.

If you look back over the prints they've made in the past, you'll see that this one is compositionally and thematically similar to "Intercontinental" from 2007 and last year's "Progeniture". Apparently Jay likes stuffing mammals and birds up into trees, where they belong.

 On August 31, Jay Ryan held his fourth Screenprinting Workshop at The Bird Machine, and ten people came in to learn what they talk about when they talk about printing. This print, Day Labor, was made over the course of six hours in an edition of 85. 18 x 24 inches, four screens, signed and numbered. This print will go onto the site around 12 Noon (Chicago time) on Friday, September 6.
