Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons at Dante’s Portland – New Years Eve Poster by Chuck Sperry on sale details
Details from Chuck Sperry:
I’m happy to preview my New Year’s Eve poster for Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons at Dante’s in Portland. Super happy to have made posters for most of Jerry Joseph’s musical incarnations. 2011 was a year of tumultuous Earth Changes, so this New Year’s Eve found me thinking of Gaia – mother earth – wreathed in flowers and set against a background of street art forms. I’ll be posting photographs of the actual poster soon, so stay tuned

Day 5 of the 5 Days of Christmas Featuring Daniel Danger and the worst doodled ever poster
Those of you that have met Daniel Danger know how much fun he can be in person. So when I met him in Chicago this past summer he gave me his Senator's Daughter poster to giveaway to you fine folks. I said hey can you throw a doodle on there. By the time he was done I was almost in tears laughing so hard. He made this one real special.
He made the print specifically for the 2010 SxSW Flatstock Poster Show, it's of the Driskill hotel in Austin, known as “the most haunted building in Texas”. This particular hotel has a seemingly endless supply of ghost stories coming out of it, but he choose to focus on one in particular. Sort of a visual sequel to the print he did years back for Austin. He never sold this online. So I'm not even sure he has any left after all the shows he did this year. The poster is 18 x 24 signed from an edition of 150.
So go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments to leave a comment to have a chance at winning the posters. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until Midnight PST TONIGHT, with the winner announced tomorrow.
Big THANK YOU to Daniel Danger for the poster and doing his magic to it. Check out all his work at www.TinyMediaEmpire.com

New artist to checkout FugScreens Studios
Zissou Tasseff-Elenkoff was born in San Francisco but lived most of his life in Paris and London. He attended Central St. Martens for a year before moving to Chicago in September of 2003. He finished his B.F.A. in Printmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he also studied photography and video.
Zissou has also focused a lot of his work in painting, primarily using acrylic on canvas. He concentrates heavily on the labor involved in making art, along with exploring the different techniques within the printing medium.
Color is also a fascination of his, and this is reflected in all of his work, whether it is a print, photograph, or painting. Ranging from the iconic to the personal, all Zissou’s work is bound together by the use of color and intense.
For the past couple years he has been focused on building his own printing studio, which has helped strengthen his art work. Zissou has worked at Chicago Silk Screen, and the South Chicago Art Center as a teacher. Recently he has started private tutoring and continues to do commissions often he can. He is also a member of the Chicago Print-Makers Guild.
“I am driven by the potential of infinite possibilities and combination with art. I have the viewpoint that my work can always be better and that the piece I just finished can and should lead me to make the next. Only by exploring and continuously making work can I try to fulfill my fascination with creating the perfect piece.”
Along with all the killer posters shown above he is offering a subscription. You will a minimum of 20 posters and a fine art print by Zissou.

Day 3 of the 5 Days of Christmas Giveaways featuring Crosshair
Dan MacAdam is Crosshair Design of Chicago. I had such a great time talking to him in Chicago this summer as he gave me the 5 minute silk screening class that admittedly some went over my head. But bottom line Dan is so good a screen printing you look at his work and you would think it was a photo and not screen printed. I could go on and on it's amazing how by using only 4 colors like in the poster more than that actually are on the poster.
The Big Pink's official Lollapalooza after show at Lincoln Hall poster measures 17.5 x 23 and a signed and numbered edition of 100.
Big thanks to Dan for the poster and teaching me more about screen printing in 5 minutes then I learned over the past 10 years. Be sure to check out all of Dan's work at www.CrosshairChicago.com
