Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Andrew Vastagh Super Bowl Free Friday Poster Giveaway
Last Sunday night Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won 4 Grammys, Jay Z should have won for Magna Carta but I'm not going to get into all that. This Sunday the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks play in the Super Bowl. Last year Andrew Vastagh did this poster for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the Sasquatch Festival in The Gorge based off their song Thrift Store. Andrew was kind enough to give me one of the posters last year at Flatstock to giveaway to one of you.
Since it's Super Bowl weekend you gotta leave a comment with who you think is going to win the game and be correct. So if the random number generator picks #50 that person needs to have picked the team that won the Super Bowl. If not I pick again.
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment about who is going to win the Super Bowl if you want to have a chance at winning the posters. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the Random Number Generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until 3 PM PST Sunday February 2 that's almost 3 days to enter with the winner announced on Monday.
Thanks to Andrew for providing the poster be sure to check out his work at http://bossconstruct.com/home/ and he still has some of these posters for sale if you want one. St Louis Rams fan for life but In Peyton I Trust, Go Broncos.

Ernesto Yerena Ganas Tex Mex Calavera Print On Sale
Ernesto Yerena has just dropped his latest print Ganas Tex Mex Calavera. This skull was originally scheduled to drop last November on Day of the Dead, but due to him moving from Austin back to Los Angeles he postponed the release till now. He created this calavera in honor of the rich history and culture of Mexican-Americans aka Chicanos in Texas or as most of them would like to call themselves: TEJANOS or TEJANAS. As a member of a Norteño family, "norteño" meaning from the north of Mexico, Ernesto grew up listening to Norteño music which is the Mexican version of the German Polka. He has always been a big fan of polkas and when he lived in Texas he began collecting Tejano records and began researching the culture. If you grew up around German, Polish, Czech, Waila, Norteño or Tejano Culture his hope is that you enjoy this tribute image to the culture. For everyone else Ernesto hopes you enjoy this print and more importantly that this print inspires you to listen more to POLKA!
He is also dropping some other small prints and such so look around

Queens of the Stone Age Raleigh Poster by Brad Klausen World Premier Exclusive
This poster by Brad Klausen for the Queens of the Stone Age show tonight in Raleigh is just all sorts of badass. After getting cutoff by the grammys Sunday I bet they have just been tearing ass at the shows this week.
Just look at the poster Brad did, what can I say other than WOW. The size of the poster is 17 x 24.7 and it's 7 colors, the red is metallic and there's a gloss varnish too.
I asked Brad the idea behind the design:
snake wine is an alcoholic drink found in Vietnam, China, and Asia, it's supposed to have psychedelic effects... it usually involves venomous snakes, the poison is denatured by the ethanol... so you're drinking an alcoholic snake poison that fucks you up and makes you trip.... to me that sums up pretty well what the Queens are all about. -Brad K
Brad will have them on sale Monday February 3 at 10 AM PST check back for the exact time and/or get on his email list at his website (click his name in the first sentence )

Tom Whalen The Chase Poster Giveaway from GSN
Tom Whalen recently partnered with GSN to create these limited edition silkscreen posters featuring Brook Burns and Mark “The Beast” Labbett, star of their new hit game show, “The Chase”.
The second season is coming to a close next week and in support of the season finale GSN wants to give 3 lucky readers this Tom Whalen poster. One winner will receive a signed and numbered copy while the other two will get unsigned copies. The poster is 24 x 36 with an edition of only 100.
The Chase: You can run, but you cannot hide, The Beast is always coming after you. In THE CHASE, a team of three contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round. The money earned will go towards a team bank. Why the urgency? Because The Beast is always lurking, ready to pounce. The Beast - quite simply -- is a quiz genius. The job of this intimidating presence is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents to ensure they are not able to bank their money. It's a role he executes with ruthless efficiency. In the final round, the teammates who have survived the initial chase collectively play against The Beast in an epic David vs. Goliath battle for the entire amount that they have banked.
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment about the most interesting bit of trivia knowledge you know if you want to have a chance at winning the posters. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the Random Number Generator to pick a winner. Malt Continuous Thunder Print On Sale
"The story behind the piece is searching to fill that empty space inside when losing someone very close to you. As the saying goes time heals all wounds, until then it's "Continuous Thunder." I always tend to work in a series of color combos, mostly in 3's. This series being one of them.
The idea starts the way most of my pieces come about. Laying down the background and staring for a while. Then figuring out where I want the flow of the piece to go. With this piece it's kind of a "X" pattern. I wanted to do a hopscotch kinda deal with the maroons and pinks over the greys and the greys over the maroons and pinks. Along with the prints and original painting there are two smaller complimentary pieces available with this RUN." - Malt

Batman Mask of the Phantasm & Fight Club Poster Release from Mondo
Mondo is releasing two killer posters on Tuesday for a couple if awesome movies, Batman Mask of the Phantasm & Fight Club.
The first, and only, Batman: The Animated Series movie to get a theatrical release turned 20 years old this past Christmas. And similar to most children with birthdays on Christmas, this gem was overlooked (which is a shame because it runs circles around some of the live action Batman films that followed it). Directed by Bruce Timm, written by Paul Dini, and featuring the voice talents of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as The Joker, BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM was the beginning of a near flawless run of animated Batman films and series that ended with Batman Beyond in 2001. Mondo threw a belated birthday and held a screening of the movie earlier this month and had Phantom City Creative do the poster. The regular edition is a 16"x24" screen print. Hand numbered, edition of 325.
This past weekend they held a screening of the classic Brad Pitt and Ed Norton film Fight Club and I think this is the best Fight Club poster yet. It is done by Delicious Design League. Measures 18"x24" screen print. Hand numbered edition of 225.
Both go on sale today at a random time at Mondotees.com

Beau Stanton The Fool Print On Sale Today
"The Fool was the central piece from my Arcane Archetypes exhibition where all the paintings were based on images from the Major Arcana of the Tarot. My first intention with this body of work was to create a series of images that instill a lasting imprint into the viewer’s subconscious. As an initial point of departure I started to research one of the most recognizable and iconic sets of images, the Major Arcana of the Tarot. After studying several existing decks, I discovered that some of the images shared common ground visually and conceptually with several paintings I had created in the past.
When I first thought about making a series of paintings based on images from the Tarot, I knew that I would have to include the Fool since it is the “zero” card and an extremely important archetype in the set. I started by researching all of the iconic tarot decks to see the ways the symbols had been interpreted in the past along with reading a few books by 19th Century occultists who were really into tarot. From there I applied some of my own symbols that I often use in my work that had common ground with the overall significance of The Fool to concoct a fresh take on an ancient iconic symbol." - Beau Stanton

Brad Klausen Pearl Jam Poster Archive Sale
Brad Klausen has opened up his personal archive to help fund a project at his house.
These auctions end on Monday so don't forget.
Details from Brad:
Over the past few years my girlfriend and I have been transforming the
outside space around our house into a big edible garden. When we bought
the house (or as I like to say, when we bought the loan) the front and
back yard was just grass. We've been landscaping and turning all that empty
lawn space into gardens. We've made raised beds out of rocks, put in gravel
paths, and are currently building a chicken coop. It's really taking shape.
I didn't realize how interested and enamored I'd become in this project. It's
easily one of the most interesting art projects I've ever been involved in.
The more we continue with this project, the more ideas we get. So in
order to fund more parts of this project, I decided to sell some things I
figure some of you out there might be interested in that aren't really doing
much at my house except taking up space and not being enjoyed as they were
designed to be.
Music...
I've had a box of sealed Riot Act LPs that's just been taking up space ever
since that record came out... there are 7 LPs in that box, I am selling 6.
Along with a complete 2000 bootleg set and a set of the Japan and Australia
2003 boots.
Posters...
Normally I keep numbers 1-3 of any poster I create. I've always felt like
I need to keep multiples of everything I've done, but as time has gone by
I've realized I only need one, maybe 2. So I've decided to offer some of the
#1 and #2's of some of my archived posters. I figure there are much better
homes for these posters then inside my flat files, and it will help raise some
funds for us to continue this landscaping art project as we've got a lot of big
ideas we want to try an accomplish.
I will ship internationally, I don't think it shows that on the ebay listings, but
I will certainly ship to anywhere in the world. So feel free to bid if you don't
live in the states, if you win the auction, We'll just figure out the international
shipping cost after that, should be the same amount I charge on my site, around
$12 - 20 depending on where you live.
Here are the links to the auctions:
