Process The Art Of Zeb Love Gallery Show

Zeb Love and The Flood Gallery in London England are very excited to announce his first solo gallery show and a well deserved one at that. He has have been saving old work, adding to test prints, painting, designing, and printing. Back in 2010 Zeb made his first silkscreen poster in his bedroom with a small table, a cheap pair of clamps, a paintbrush, and a wooden screen. A lot has happened since then. He has learned new techniques, what works and what doesn't. More than anything he loves the Process of screenprinting, because even if every precaution is taken, something always goes a little wrong.

In the age where a lot of things are digital, cropped, color corrected, and perfect...Zeb really enjoys hand printing all his work and letting the errors accent the art and give it warmth.

'Process' opens on October 29th at The Flood Gallery. At 6:30pm London time

Darin Shock Avett Brothers Charlottesville Poster Release

For the longest time Darin Shock had been wanting to do a poster for the Avett Brothers. Finally he was able to fulfill his wish this past Saturday when he was the artist for their concert in Charlottesville, VA and he killed it.

I asked Darin about the idea for the poster:
Basically this is the depiction of the band rummaging through albums in a late 1970's record store. I was thinking about how the band and their style always seemed timeless to me. It's classic, it's modern, it's representative of an array of influences and is ultimately unique. Them flipping through albums in front of an audience (the animals) seemed appropriate and symbolic of their uniquely organic live experience.
The poster is 24x18", 5 color screen print
There will be the regular edition of 50 and 3 foils (lava, rainbow and sparkle) edition of 15 each.
All available Tuesday at 2pm EDT http://stateofshockstudios.com/store.html

Matt Leunig String Cheese Incident New York Poster Release

The String Cheese Incident played New York City this weekend and blew it up at The Theater at Madison Square Garden and Matt Leunig had the pleasure of doing another poster for them.

Matt talks about his concept for the poster:
I went through a slew of concepts for this one as I wanted something that worked in some classic NYC imagery. I recently did a Statue of Liberty themed piece for a Tame Impala piece but wanted and didn’t really want to do a repeat but it was too hard to pass up making a giant Hooper Lady over looking the city. Though it is a bit corny, being a Knicks fan, I had to indulge and try out a bball themed concept.
It is a beautiful 6-color print done by the fine folks at Good Thoughts (Boulder, CO) and is 18’x24′. The band had a run of 400 print run and Matt will have a small run of signed/numbered Artist Prints for sale on October 27 Tuesday 11AM PDT on his website Scrapedknee.com

Brad Klausen Chris Cornell Philadelphia & Wilkes Barre Poster Release

Brad Klausen did a poster for two of Chris Cornell's shows in Pennsylvania, one in Philadelphia the other in Wilkes-Barre. The image is based off the song Wrong Side from his new solo album, which in Brad's opinion, is the stand out track of the album. While there are some lyrics about a house and the fields catching on fire, the images isn't entirely based off that (as it's a town on fire and not just a house)... it's more loosely based off the dark spaghetti western vibe of the song and the idea of always being on the side of wrong. Of someone who no matter how hard they try, always winds up on the wrong side. If you haven't heard the song, check out the video below:

The poster is 12.2" " x 24.2", 4 Colors (red is metallic) screen print on Black paper
Signed and numbered out of 110
$40 plus shipping

Poster will be on sale Friday Oct. 23rd at 11 AM PDT at www.ArtilleryDesign.com
