This unique limited variant edition of the hugely popular "Apathy Exposed" print highlights the plight of shark populations and oceans around the world. Up to 100 million sharks killed annually, primarily targeted for the global trade in shark fins, we must act now to help save these often misunderstood apex predators from extinction.
Title: "APATHY EXPOSED" Variant Edition
Numbers of color: 8 color screenprint with specialty day-glow (Blacklight) inks on Coventry paper
Edition of 100 with hand-deckled edges
Dimensions: 55"x20" inches
Price: $275 USD plus shipping and handling
Release date: Wednesday, February 19th at 12pm PST via shop.pangeaseed.org
Tristan Eaton’s ‘Apathy Exposed’ variant edition is an explosive, large format silk-screen print featuring 8 vibrant layers of specialty day-glow (Blacklight) inks on a humongous scale. This special edition revisits Eaton’s sought after limited edition series of shark inspired prints that benefit PangeaSeed Foundation's art and activism (ARTivism) efforts around the globe. This is Eaton’s largest print for PangeaSeed Foundation so far.
At 55” inches wide, ‘Apathy Exposed’ is a colossal display of ARTivism executed masterfully by our friends at Serio Press in Los Angeles, CA. Special thanks to the good people at Legion Paper for the support.
Artist statement:
"In an age of cell phone obsession and social media activism, there are few people out there in the world doing the real hard work, getting their hands dirty to make the world a better place. Tre' & Akira of PangeaSeed Foundation and its team are those people. I’ve witnessed great success in their direction on how to make art WORK for a cause. The funds generated from my prints in collaboration with PangeaSeed Foundation goes directly into action needed to fight for the health of our oceans and endangered marine life, such as sharks, threatened by human activity and destructive industries.
I hope this example of art & activism shines a light on their efforts and helps expose the global apathy towards the ginormous threats facing our global shark populations and ocean ecosystems today.
Whoever is reading this right now, you can support this important cause from the comfort of your couch and the privacy of your phone by buying this print and joining the fight to save our oceans! Thank you PangeaSeed Foundation for all you do and for letting me be a part of it!" - Tristan Eaton

Todd Slater Dark Crystal Movie Poster
Todd Slater is back with a good one today. Last year at Mondocon they debuted his Dark Crystal print and now you can get one.
It's a big one at 18x36 inches and features lots of pretty under printing and painterly textures.
Todd on the design
Dark Crystal was one of the first children's movies to really scare me. There's something about the puppetry and the terror of the Skeksis that felt palpable, visceral and real. For me, Henson's imagination is unparalleled and his films (Labyrinth and Dark Crystal) have stood the test of time as my favorites from childhood along with Star Wars and Neverending Story. The art took about a month and half to draw over January and February of 2019. It's difficult to photograph but I'm really starting to push the boundaries of under printing and painterly textures in the color separations. On sale now at www.toddslater.net
