Lars Krause Build Bridges Not Walls Art Print

Lars Krause third Zeitgeist art print shows a female engineer or architect who is looking into a future in the same visionary way as her two colleagues, the astronaut/cosmonaut and the farmer’s wife. According to Lars, the engineer was supposed to be the last in this series, but there are plenty of new heroines right now – fully in the spirit of the times.

The third Zeitgeist art print was printed in an edition of only four on four chipboard panels specially produced for the edition, wallpapered with thematically matching newspaper cuttings and painted over almost beyond recognition. The motif was then printed on in an elaborate hand screen printing process. A second edition was produced on artificially aged, 540g/sqm cardboard, in an edition of 12.

Original artwork:
16x20 inches
Acrylic on birch panel
Price: $1,400

Artist statement:

The amount of plastic that enters the oceans on a daily basis is a staggering statistic. It can seem like an impossible task. I grew up in the coastal south and became all too familiar with what is left in the wake of a people carving an existence in a fragile ecosystem. These plastics are a byproduct of our increasing convenience-based lives.

There is a dark comedy in seeing the ways nature attempts to make use of our carelessness. I made this painting referencing some of the different juxtapositions I've seen on our coastlines. Resourceful shorebirds making homes from the endless debris that washes ashore. While there is something endearing about how nature overcomes and adapts to how we've shaped the world, it also serves as a reminder that our abundant use of plastics reach farther than we can imagine.

Pink Floyd Vienna Poster by WolfSkullJack Release

ECHO is proud to announce the Pink Floyd 2021 Poster Series. This officially licensed limited-edition series will showcase some of today’s biggest and brightest visual artists, creating works inspired by Pink Floyd.

First in the series is a print by artist WolfSkullJack commemorating Pink Floyd’s performance from October 13, 1973 in Vienna, Austria.
“My father introduced me to Pink Floyd when I was but a wee pup and Dark Side of the moon was a regular on the record player. I am eternally thankful to have inherited his excellent music taste! When working for musicians I love to put on their music as I sketch and ink in an attempt to capture the bands essence and I think that shines through here. The art is heavily influenced by Time and Breathe, two of my favorites, with reference to the lyrics, ‘Run, rabbit run’ in Breathe. Wolves in my work are often ethereal/celestial creatures who represent time and space. The wolf is representative as part of the natural life cycle of the rabbit in an all natural way rather than something sinister.” – WolfSkullJack
This 12-color screen print measures 18”x24” and will be available in these limited edition variations:
Pink Floyd October 13, 1973 Vienna, Austria (Gallery Edition) – 175 pcs / $55
Pink Floyd October 13, 1973 Vienna, Austria (Lava Foil Variant) – 75 pcs / $80
Pink Floyd October 13, 1973 Vienna, Austria (Rainbow Variant) – 75 pcs / $80

These variants will be screen printed on creamy pearlescent gallery stock with a semi-metallic finish, and only available via this subscription. Artist statement:
The core of my practice stems from my interest in locating folk art’s place in a globalized world. I seek to create a multi-cultural dialogue that explores the consistencies of visual culture throughout time, beginning with ancient artisans and extending to contemporary artists. I was convinced from an early age growing up in Cuernavaca, Mexico that communities can be sustained through art-making. Like the craftspeople who integrate life into the creation of ceramics and textiles—nothing less than a certain form of magic—I embrace the imperfections of the hand- made—the organic forms and vibrant colors that have the power to remove the individual identity of the artist in favor of a more universal expression of “folk art.”

By uniting the imagery of traditional Mexican folk art with the vernacular of urban contemporary art, I’m trafficking in the nuanced relationship between artistic tradition and global influences, in the process of finding the relationship between community and culture. The lineage of west coast mural work looms large in my practice: art functioning as a symbol of resistance, transforming overlooked spaces into something beautiful - a daily revolution in the form of creating.

2Pac California Love Print by Miles Tsang Release

Collectionzz is excited to release its first official 2Pac screenprint, and also its first collaboration with Miles Tsang:

"Tupac Shakur is hip-hop royalty and one of the most important and instantly-recognizable figures in the history of American music (not to mention pop culture at large), so being trusted with crafting a poster to commemorate one of his most famous songs “California Love” was massive and something I took very seriously.
My goal was to portray the icon as larger-than-life, decorating him with visuals from both accompanying music videos. The West Coast is inseparable from the multi-platinum single and the rapper’s lexicon as well, so the poster also features an undulating Los Angeles skyline, distant mountains, palm trees and a desert, all enshrined in clouds of golden dust and crackling tendrils of rhythmic flame with an earthy, sun-baked palette reminiscent of the 90’s aesthetic. I wanted the piece to feel like a positive and powerful representation of the man and the song itself, honoring the influence and legacy of both while making something any fan of the man (and his chosen home) can love and cherish." -Miles Tsang
Main Edition - $75.00
Artist: Miles Tsang
Size: 18" x 24"
