Motley Crue Girls, Girls, Girls Ryan Richardson Pratt Print Release

Mötley Crüe's iconic Girls, Girls, Girls features hits "Wild Side", "You're All I Need" and the title track "Girls Girls Girls", which became a global success, despite the original uncensored video being banned by MTV. Though the band members barely remember recording it, Girls, Girls, Girls was another smashing success for the band, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard charts and selling over four million copies.

"Girls, Girls, Girls where we were at the time, as a young bunch of men that were extremely successful and didn’t necessarily have all the tools to deal with it. The lyrics are very raw. “Wild Side,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Five Years Dead” are great examples where I feel like I really nailed it. And “You’re All I Need” is a great storytelling song that isn’t as glossy and pretty as some of the other bands were trying to come off as. Of course, you don’t know this until you step back." Nikki Sixx told Rolling Stone in 2017.
The Girls Girls Girls commemorative poster was a real thrill to take on because I knew I'd have no shortage of provocative imagery to play with. My goal was to create a visual that captured the wild aesthetic of the Mötley Crüe of that era. I'd envisioned setting the mood with neon light reflections and a color palette that referenced the album cover and the notorious music video of the title track. Once I settled on a composition, I focused on adding lots of LA atmosphere. Lots of attitude. And more than just a little skin.- Ryan Richardson Pratt

Run-DMC Raising Hell Poster By Ken Taylor Release

Run-DMC's Raising Hell remains the turning point at which hip-hop crashed through mainstream barriers and never left. Anchored by the crossover smash "Walk This Way," the 1986 blockbuster still sounds like a revolution unfolding in real time. It has everything – hard-rock riffs, turntable scratching, itchy rhythms, hit singles – not the least of which are the trio's invigorating raps and inseparable chemistry

Up until Raising Hell, the rap juggernaut we know as Run-DMC was still in its building and breaking-down-doors phase. In 1986 that changed, and in a dramatic way. With their third long-player, the group had reached the mountaintop. It was the record that proved hip-hop wasn't a fad.

Besides the triple platinum status the album achieved, it was more than just a pop smash. It signaled a new era for rap music, and it was the no-turning-back point for the entire genre. This was the beginning of what we now call the Golden Era, and it still sounds as fresh today as it did 35 years ago. Collectionzz is honored to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Raising Hill with limited edition art by Ken Taylor, who said "I grew up listening to Run-DMC so for me this was both a lot of fun and a great honour!".

Run-DMC Raising Hell 35 - $85.00

Pantera The Great Southern Trendkill Poster By Fajar Allanda

Released 25 years ago on May 7, 1996, The Great Southern Trendkill was Pantera’s re-dedication of purpose to thrash metal, at a time radio and MTV were endorsing friendlier styles of alternative metal.

By the time they set out to make Trendkill in late ’95, Pantera were one of the lone remaining thrash-era metal acts that were still selling a lot of records (1994’s Far Beyond Driven debuted at Number One on the Billboard album chart). More crucially, they were one of the only ones doing so without diluting their sound. In fact, while Pantera were growing more successful by getting heavier with each record, most of Pantera’s peers had hit steep career drop-offs and were struggling to remain visible. Perhaps it’s understandable that they felt like the world was closing in on them.

To a large extent, Pantera lashed out, as did Anselmo, but for entirely different reasons. As a result, Trendkill writhes and rails with desperation and self-loathing and roars with intensity, making it the heaviest album Pantera ever released. It also has one of the boldest album cover designs in their history, featuring the apex predator, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

To create this, Collectionzz asked the extremely talented Fajar Allanda to work his magic - and he did! There are two editions available, a Main Edition of 225 that measures 24x18, and a XL Cotton Rag with Deckled Edge Edition measuring 22x28 and limited to just 25 copies.

Pink Floyd Jeff Wood Poster Release

Jeff Wood’s phenomenal art commemorating Pink Floyd’s performance from May 4, 1988 in Raleigh, North Carolina on the A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, is the third poster in ECHO’s Pink Floyd series.

I witnessed Pink Floyd in concert for the first time. It was pouring rain, like cats and dogs pouring, but as we made our way into the stadium I realized our tickets were at the top of field level seating right under the overhang where the upper deck was jutting out. It was perfect. We sat in dry comfort for the entire show. Waves of rain came down through the lights. It was quite surreal and one of the most amazing shows I have ever witnessed. Little did I realize that three decades later, I would get to do the official poster for that very show. The fact it was approved by Pink Floyd on May 4th, 33 years to the day of the show, added to the grand synchronicity of the piece. Mind blown. It was the last concert I attended with one of my very best friends before he passed away. To say this one is special is an understatement. – Jeff Wood
This 9-color screen print measures 18”x24” and will be available in these limited edition variations:

Gallery Edition – 150 pcs / $60
Lava Foil Variant – 100 pcs / $80
Sparkle Foil Variant– 60 pcs / $100

Alice Cooper World Tour 1971 Poster By Gary Pullin

Released just over fifty years ago on March 9, 1971, Love It To Death was the culmination of Alice Cooper's journey that began in 1964 when Vincent Furnier made his first onstage appearance in Phoenix. Fast forward to December, 1971 everybody had heard Alice Cooper's “I’m Eighteen” off of their first mainstream success, Love It to Death.

The band was well known for their genuinely menacing live performances, the audience rarely rushing the stage fearing that Alice’s dark intimidating prowling would escape the invisible boundary. At a time when others were sporting eyeshadow and feather boas, Alice Cooper was appearing in a straitjacket draped in a real boa constrictor. By 1973, the band would become so huge that their U.S. tour broke box-office records then held by the Rolling Stones.

When Collectionzz had the chance to create an official print for Alice Cooper, they immediately jumped at the opportunity. And the first call they made was to world renowned artist Ghoulish Gary Pullin, who created these awesome screenprints based on the infamous urban legend about how the band got its name from a ouija board session!

Darin Shock David Bowie Art Print

After the release of Darin Shock's John Lennon print last year, he decided to make a series of prints entitled "Genius". They will be 12.5x12.5", modestly priced, small edition, black and white portraits of artists who have advanced the human species with their brilliant contributions. The next print in the series is David Bowie (and his legendary character Ziggy Stardust).
Bowie's entire career is fascinating and unique, but my favorite era is the Ziggy era. It was so revolutionary. The story of an androgynous rock star who is sent to Earth to save us all is beyond interesting...especially considering this was done WAAAAY ahead of it's time in the early 70's. Concept (and character) aside, the music is positively brilliant as well. Bowie is quite simply a genius.-Darin
Prints are available right now at State of Shock Studios Store.
