A band of twenty rogue artists has been assembled to defeat…ahem, pay homage to…those mighty, mammoth monsters from the movie and TV screens of Japan. As we speak, kaiju are awakening all over the world…soon the invasion will begin at Guzu Gallery!

The opening reception will be Friday, November 30th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through the end of 2012. If you can't make it out to the gallery, they will have limited edition screen prints available online on Saturday, December 1st at Noon CST.

End of the World Print sale by Galerie F

Galerie F held an exhibition at the gallery last Friday titled End of the World. Today they are selling all the prints from the show.

Rapture. Asteroid collisions. Tom Cruise fighting space robots. The end of the world has been a target for wildly liberal speculation for decades. It is only in 2012 that doomsday forecasts seem reasonably relevant. We have assembled a crack team of printmakers for an exhibition exploring this theme, “The End of the World”.

New Posters by Justin Santora On Sale and a preview

Justin Santora has released 3 new posters and a little preview of something he did for an upcoming show.

The first is for The Devil Makes Three. It's a four color screen print, and a signed/numbered edition of 150.
Next up is an art print entitled "Going Home." Two color screen print, signed/numbered edition of 75.
Last is a new poster for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Four color screen print, signed/numbered edition of 100.
All prints are 18x24" and are available here.

Earlier this year, Justin was commissioned to do bottle label artwork for Brouwerij West brewery. Check it out.

Justin also participated in Galerie F's End of the World exhibition, which just opened this past Friday. Work from the show should be live and available on their site shortly. A little preview image of my print is attached to this email.

Gilded Age of Manhattan poster Artist Eric Rosner

Eric Rosner is a Gilded Age of New York City Artist, he illustrates old NYC during the period of 1880-1910.


There is a renewed interest in the history of Manhattan and Eric loves to illustrate the buildings, people and street scenes of that fascinating period.

Eric's art has taken off lately as it has been selling at CB2, BoConcept, FAB.com and in April the MoMA Store in NYC.

Illustrating in NYC for over 20 years, Eric Rosner has a unique style that recaptures a classic period of Manhattan and presents it for a new participating audience. Ink marker is used to create stunning iconic structures from a golden era. This process is combined with digital enhancements that complete a singular vision to showcase New York City's most eloquent inhabitants. His canvas prints grab the attention of the on-looker as an awe inspiring tribute to a golden age with a modern twist for today.

'Unfold' - An alto Exhibition at Little Ox Gallery

Continuing the recent run of UK-based designer toy events, December 13th 2012 sees attention head north to the wintry climes of Scotland, the Little Ox Gallery, Edinburgh, and the debut solo show of alto (aka Chris Dobson), entitled ‘Unfold’.

A new series of giclee digital prints anchors the exhibition, which will also see the public unveiling of two original resin toys.

Evil Origami, produced in collaboration with DMS (http://www.monstersandmecha.com/) will appear in customised form, as ten Scottish-based artists provide their own unique take on the piece. Ranging from established names in the toy world, such as Lisa Rae Hansen (http://www.ibreaktoys.com/) and Conzo (http://www.conzo.co.uk/), through to famed Glaswegian street-artist, Klingatron (http://www.klingatron.com/), graphic design studios Effektive (http://www.effektivedesign.co.uk/) and Berg (http://www.bergstudio.co.uk/) and illustrators Daniel Seex (http://www.thejoyofseex.co.uk/), Badatmath (http://badatmath.wix.com/bam), Robbie Porter (http://www.robbieporter.co.uk/), Verity Keniger (http://www.veritykeniger.co.uk/) and The Lindstrom Effect (http://thelindstromeffect.co.uk/ ).

Also on show will be exhibition mascot, the literally named, Little Ox, produced in conjunction with Creo Design (http://www.cdtoys.co.uk/) and resplendent in an array of colourways.

Of the prints, themselves, Chris writes:

‘I wanted to explore the continuing reference points, in contemporary art and design, of key pop-cultural icons that have endured through the generations – Star Wars, Transformers, superheroes, etc – and what happens when this seam of inspiration begins to unravel and break down. In doing so, of course, I have merely (and somewhat cheekily), ensured that the mining of such rich source material continues unashamedly’
