This Thursday Bottleneck Gallery are heading to the future with Matt Ferguson to release a print for one of their favorite films from the past, Blade Runner!

Matt’s a mad genius when it comes to interpreting the distant lands presented in movies and creating art that simultaneously captures the visual aesthetic, as well as the overall mood, of the movies. He also loves unicorns. Combining those two, Matt’s created an incredible print with Rick Deckard’s cyberpunk version of Los Angeles as the main focus.

The poster is a 9 color screen print with glow-in-the-dark layer measuring 24 x 36 inches and a hand numbered edition of 250

First one up is the third and final installment from the “In Dreaming” abstract art series titled “Cosmic Bliss”.

You approached the unified field, then entered the 4th state of consciousness and dipped into the crimson portal slipping into cosmic bliss. Cosmic bliss is a state of being, an ecstatic feeling. An inner explosion of exhilaration and lightness. Unconditional joy, formless and timeless. The fundamental dynamic of the universe.

The second one is another print Joey is very excited to release. After experimenting with the screen printing process and getting his work to translate to this classic approach, he found a printing technique that he believes will work.

To make a long story short, it's a four color process where thousands of colors can be made from. When the initial image is broken down by the scientists I have working for me in a secret lab, along with the serum they are trying to make for me, they screen print what I present to you... “The Seven Head Committee”.

The chatter - the loud obnoxious negative voices in our heads that gather together and form a committee to discuss “things.” Sometimes they decide to have a meeting with you at 3am. What joy that is.

Lucky Olelo Tiger Style Art Prints

Skurktur Noir Art Print

The guys from Skurktur have released an insane looking art print titled Noir. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge it to see it in it's full glory.

I asked the Skurktur about the image:

The scenery is set to a dark and gloomy urban environment. The image reflects on a narrative tension between man and beast, and portrays the moment just before the climax of confrontation.

The illustration was created as a part of the album artwork for the LP “Bringing Guns to a Knife Fight” by Norwegian hardcore band The Hex, and is now for the first time made available as a screen print.

Chuck Sperry Edwardian Ball Poster 2018 Release

It’s Edwardian Ball time again, and Chuck Sperry always takes great pleasure in working with Justin Katz, the Edwardian Ball impresario, and once again Chuck had a lot of fun making this poster!

My Edwardian Ball posters always have an edge of social critique in them. They are done with a wink and a nod, in keeping with the enjoyment of attending such an elaborate period pageant.

Most of the attendees also realize that the Edwardian era was one of unabashed and ostentatious oligarchy, unrivaled economic imperialism and a presumed European superiority complex. It’s all of these things that makes the period so bizarre to us today. I’ve always endeavored to reveal this outrageous and bizarre sense of imperial entitlement in my Edwardian Ball posters, and keep them wild and fun.

My poster this year is a fanciful portrait of famed New York titan and oligarch, John Jacob Astor IV, with his pregnant, 18 year old, newlywed wife Madeleine — during their deliciously scandalous honeymoon to France and Egypt — on an evening walk outside the Paris Opera sometime before returning to America aboard the Titanic.

The wealthiest man aboard the doomed ship, and with $25,000 cash discovered frozen in his pocket, Astor went down with the ship. A cautionary tale for the Trump Era. - Chuck
