I can't believe football season is almost over, hope everyone's fantasy teams did better than mine. But when football season is over you will have something to read many times over.
From A Basement in Seattle is Brad Klausen's book of collected work, notes and pictures on his posters. Featuring notes and sketches on how he created each poster. The book is 156 pages and Brad has been kind enough to give a copy away to my readers.
Brad's last stop on his book signing tour is tonight at 5pm PST at Center For Emerging Media & Digital Arts Southern Oregon University Ashland, OR.
Drop a comment and I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, ANON comments for this giveaway will be deleted. Entries will be accepted until midnight Saturday, with the winner announced on Sunday.
Comments are numbered now so I dont have to print out 5 pages and hand numbered them to figure out the winner. Also notice the Facebook and Twitter buttons at the bottom of all the posts now so you can share them with your friends.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Brad Klausen for providing the book for the giveaway and yes Brad will be shipping this to the winner. If you can make it to the signing tonight he has copies of the book for sale on his website ArtilleryDesign.com

His work just gets better year after year. I hope he decides to tour more of the country for his book and head east just for an opportunity to chat with him for a few minutes. Amazing work
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading the book.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Brad for providing the signed copy, and thanks to Gary for running the contest.
Pound for pound Brad is one of the best poster artists out there today. His work never disappoints, and I can't wait to read the book for a look inside the process he goes through to create them. Love the art Bk. - R. Warn

ReplyDeleteLove Brad's work. Here's to hoping #1 is lucky!
ReplyDeleteOn the Ames vs. Pearl Jam book, I've read the story behind the South American Tour Poster.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm re-reading the book in which that poster was inpired: "The open veins of latin america" from E. Galeano.
It's a great book, and I can't help to think about the poster and how well did BK catch the meanings behind every thing the book tells. BK is truly a great artist.
I'd love to have that book.
So, I'm in.
thanks
Diego

my first two pearl jam shows & gig posters ever were Borgata II 10/1/05 and Philly 10/03/05. The Borgata I had framed, double-matted, and hung over my bed at college every year and the EV Kenyon Hall is my all-time favorite poster thats framed and hanging in my upstairs hallway. Your work creates lasting memories, Mr. Klausen. Preciate!
ReplyDeleteBrad's use of saturated colors and the way his fonts are entwined into the art make him one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
