The Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In is screening the entire Twin Peaks series in Austin this summer, and they commissioned Tim Doyle to produce a poster for the series! Blue Starlite Programmer Dakota Milan contacted Nakatomi right when they were in the middle of producing their series for Austin Books last month, so at first they had to pass on it- but realized they actually already HAD a Twin Peaks image ready to roll! They floated it by Dakota, and he dug it. Happiness and Pie and Damn Good Coffee ensued. Doyle made quite a few tweaks to the original image, adding in a split fountain and some extra linework on Laura’s face and various other details.
They printed a small edition of only 100 of these, signed and numbered- the majority went to the theater!
