LifeVersa aka Wale Bambose asked if I would like to giveaway his Where is the Love Balloon print to you fine folks and with the current state of affairs in this country I did not hesitate.
I wont get into a long winded discussion on here about the whole situation, but if you want to check out some of my rants follow on Twitter. This print is a commentary on the global economic crisis and the current uprising taken place right now all over the world. Due to Wale's full-time job, he cannot go to an Occupy Wall Street rally so here is his printed support of the movement.
He is giving away an Artists Proof. The print is 18 x 24 inches. The regular edition is only 60
So go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments to leave a comment with your thoughts on the whole Occupy Wall Street movement to have a chance at winning the posters. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until midnight Saturday November 19 PST that's two days to enter, with the winner announced on Sunday.
Big thanks to LifeVersa for providing a great and timely print for the giveaway. He has a few left on website if you can wait.

The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight-of-hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in inequity and born in sin... But if you want to continue to be slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers continue to create money and control credit.

ReplyDeletei'd like this print
Although I think the Occupy Wall Street movement is disjointed, I wholeheartedly agree that change is necessary and that congress needs a kick in the ass to finally get something done. I also appreciate the work the LifeVersa is doing and look forward to seeing more prints. bigmuls()gmail.com
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting to hear people say that the cause doesn't make a difference, yet it's still on the news and on people's minds. Maybe this isn't a revolution of Middle East magnitude, but no amount of money can sweep it under the rug...

I live in Philadelphia, and they just announced that the Occupiers must leave the area they are in. Not for reasons like in NYC or Oakland, but because they're renovating the area the protest is in, and they need to begin construction. I don't really care about the protests, and I found the one in Philadelphia pretty annoying, but I like the fact that such a movement has taken place across the country, and that its still going on. I also give the city of Philadelphia credit for handling the situation, and so far it has been the most cooperative and peaceful demonstration.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I hope this is where we're suppose to comment for the free print. This is the first time I've entered in the giveaway!
thanks,
Dave O!
I hope OWS doesn't peter out. I think they should make open enemies with the TEA party.
ReplyDeleteOWS is a joke. Every person has a different issue with the government and no single message. What do the Occupiers want the government to change? Ask them. They have no clue.....
ReplyDeleteNow that is cool!!!
ReplyDeleteerikgustafson@gmail.com
The most important thing OWS has done is to re-focus attention back on Wall Street, and the financial system, after its collapse of a few years ago. Financial and corporate giants have done a fine job making sure we forget about the type of damage reckless deregulation can cause, and even the modest rules imposed by Dodd/Frank are being demonized. The movement does not have a specific goal, so as to keep as broad a net of support as possible. There are so many things wrong with the current state of our financial and economic there is no need for specifics at this point. having abroad based goals gives more people the opportunity to participate. Thx for the giveaway.

Cool giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat begins as a rumbling of seemingly incoherent discontent often grows into a full blown revolution if the people are ignored for long enough. Keep fuckin around with folk's ability to earn a living and the lessons of 1917 Russia may be taught again here in America sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteCool poster

Excellent poster, and just the right amount of specificity to it with the date, but no large text.

i like it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific poster as it gets it point across subtlety. Good luck to all!
ReplyDeleteTimely!
ReplyDeleteAll rulers in all ages have tried to impose a false view of the world upon their followers....
ReplyDeleteThe concentration of wealth in the hands of the few has never been so destructive and influential in history. Its control over our political system allows the few to wield vast power contrary to the fair and equitable will of the people. OWS protesters don't need one common unifying goal or issue about which they protest, they simply need the citizens who feel aggrieved to stand up and be counted among those who desire reasonable, sensible and fair change. This protest should continue so that our children's children have the luxury of living a wealthy and safe life and so they may pass on the ideals of those who Occupied Wall street or threw the kings tea into Boston harbor. I humbly pass the soap box.
ReplyDeleteI read an article to day where GE made 14 billion but paid NO taxes!! I'm an out of work man who just ran out of unemploymeny benefits who has to pay income tax on the pittance I recieved over the past year while companies making BILLIONS pay nothing!! The America politicians need to pull their collective heads out of their a$$es and listen to what the people want, or we could very well have a 2nd (not s0) civil was in this country!
ReplyDeleteOWS, hmmm, i am a bit confused by the whole movement, i understand, agree and sympathize with the protestors but just not sure they are going about it the proper way. I dont have a better solution but just think this needs a new or different direction. Watch the movie/doc "Inside Job" it explains alot, great insite into some of why the US and others are in this situation.
ReplyDeleteI like the print. Thank you for the chance.

ReplyDeleteThomas YURAKAPTIV@yahoo.com
I give them credit for standing up for the middle class, but don't see much changing because of it.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance

I whole heartily agree with the movement. I just wish my health was better I would protesting here in Occupy Chicago. As soon as I am fixed.. I'm there. To the artist... support comes from all areas and you too are the 99%. Anyone with exposure can help in this manner.

Ahhhhh fuck.
ReplyDeleteWe all want our rights.
We all want them now.
It is a numbers game.
If 99% stood together against the 1%...
I'd take those odd every day
Problem is..
Everyone has individual expectations
The 99% is not united
The cause is just, the movements real
But its run by people
Who couldn't organize a shoe closet.
End Tax Loopholes,
Stop Class Warfare.
All the Power to the People!
Jarred
Cool.

It is surreal watching videos of riot police invading college campuses and macing students in the Quad. We watched angry youth crash burning cars into buildings in Birmingham (London) ealier this year. Hopefully OWS will not become that.
