Sleigh Bells at The Warfield Theatre Poster by Alexandra Fischer
An edition of 150 posters was printed for the show at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco, CA on April 5th, 2012.
Silkscreened in 4 colors, at the Firehouse Kustom Rockart Co. in Oakland, CA, with the gracious and expert help of Chuck Sperry.
the poster is printed on cougar ca. 100lb stock.
The Poster dimension is 20" x 26"(paper).
This poster is #152 in the FHGV series and the edition is as always signed and numbered.
In terms of inspiration and starting point for this poster:
Sleigh Bells, a rather new band which plays, in my opinion with juxtapositions in their style and their music.
The image of my poster reflect that. Rock meets pop. Beauty meets death. Blue meets Red.
Their record is named "reign of terror", a violent period during the French revolution, which replaced a period of glamor with a period of chaos and death in France. Again these opposites are represented in the hair and the jacket.
There are about 6 variants as well.
