When JC Hall asked him to do a poster for Patti Smith, Chuck jumped at the commission. He made this portrait of her, using a gold metallic base of patternization and layered colors over. The gold peeks through the final deep brown line art, and blues and reds were tinted with a semi-translucent yellow.
