Black Free Friday Poster Giveaway Featuring The Beatles and Matt Leunig
So I saw on the news today one of the original Beatles Demo tapes that Decca turned down is going to be auctioned off next week. I thought hey Matt gave me this great poster at Flatstock for a giveaway so now is a good time to do it.
The poster is titled Within You Without You Beatles. It is a 5 color screen print measuring 18 x 22
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment regarding your favorite Beatles song is to have a chance at winning the poster. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until midnight PDT Saturday November 24 that's almost two days to enter with the winner announced on Sunday.
THANK YOU again to Matt Leunig and Scraped Knee for the great print for the giveaway. He still has this and some others for sale at his website HERE.

Favorite song is "REVOLUTION", it says everything I feel the Beatles went "Pop" at first so they could"Make IT" so ppl would TUNE IN AND TURN ON....This is why we listen to MUSIC. They started the change music needed and we're trying to educate the close minded to help us "COME TOGETHER"and change the world. Like the Wedge by Phish says..."Oh... Cause we could have come so very far
ReplyDeleteOh... In at least as many years"
My favorite Beatles tune is definitely Within You Without You. I had never heard any Indian classical music before. I was twelve years old and it opened up new worlds of sound for me. Now I'm a musician and Indian classical music is one of my biggest influences. I don't think I ever would have wanted to play music if it hadn't been for that song.

Chris Farley: Right. I think we.. I think we got time for one more question. Uh.. remember when you were in The Beatles? And, um, you did that album Abbey Road, and at the very end of the song, it would.. the song goes, "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make"? You.. you remember that?
ReplyDeletePaul McCartney: Yes.

"A Hard Day's Night" - because the opening chord captures the whole feel of my introduction to rock and roll in the midst of Beatlemania and still expresses that sense of freedom and joy every time I hear it.
