American Hustle, Frozen & Hidden Fortress Mondo Poster Releases
Post-award season home video releases are always the best. This week has something for everyone. There are three very different, but equally terrific films coming out on BLU-RAY / DVD this Tuesday, and Mondo are so excited to help celebrate each.
Winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature 2013, FROZEN finally hits shelves on Blu-Ray and DVD tomorrow, and they are pleased to present Tom Whalen's beautiful print for the musical masterpiece. The poster is 24" x 36" screen print. Hand numbered. Edition of 440
Also out tomorrow, David O'Russells AMERICAN HUSTLE. Mondo are big fans of his filmography, and they are thrilled to be releasing their first print for an O'Russell film. Matt Taylor did excellent work on this, as always. The poster is 18" x 24" screen print. Hand numbered. Edition of 325
Last but not least, the Criterion Collection is releasing Akira Kurosawa's classic THE HIDDEN FORTRESS (spind #116) on Blu-Ray for the first time and features beautiful new artwork by Vania Zouravliov.
About THE HIDDEN FORTRESS:
"A grand-scale adventure as only Akira Kurosawa could make one, The Hidden Fortress stars the inimitable Toshiro Mifune as a general charged with guarding his defeated clan's princess (a fierce Misa Uehara) as the two smuggle royal treasure across hostile territory. Accompanying them are a pair of bumbling, conniving peasants who may or may not be their friends. This rip-roaring ride is among the director's most beloved films and was a primary influence on George Lucas's Star Wars. The Hidden Fortress delivers Kurosawa's trademark deft blend of wry humor, breathtaking action, and compassionate humanity." The poster comes in two colorways with the same specs 18" x 24" screen print. Hand numbered. Edition of 165.
On sale Tuesday at Mondotees.com at a random time.
