Jermaine Rogers SKRILLEX (A$AP Rocky, Alvin Risk, Tokimonsta) San Francisco 2014 Poster-
Measuring 24x17 inches and screen printed on gallery stock, this print was commissioned by the dubstep godfather, Skrillex. One of those controversial love-him-or-hate-him kind of artists, Skrillex was a quiet fan of Jermaine's work, especially the 'bunny' prints. He recently approached Jermaine for one of his own.
Jermaine remarks:
'Sonny (Skrillex) is one of those guys who defiantly does his thing, whether you love it or hate it. Sticking to your vision, regardless of the criticism thrown your way, is a trait I will always admire. The dude's concerts are wild parties: that's a given. So, I created an image in contrast to that spirit: the image is heavy and pensive. The weird juxtaposition of the thing is what's delicious to me. To screw with people that way. The prints sold out at the show. Prints selling out at an electronic show: I'm proud of that. That didn't always happen.'-jr

Regarding the imagery, Jermaine mentions:
'In my darkest moods, I take some solace in the fact that I am a ghost, driving a flesh machine until it becomes irrevocably broken. Afterwards, there is evidence that I can pass into another machine.'-jr
