Phil Lesh & Friends Las Vegas Poster by Jeff Troldahl

Jeff Troldahl has been working with bands creating posters since the late 90's. Bands like The Dead, Furthur, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic, and more.

He has a new one for Phil Lesh and Friends from the recent show in Las Vegas.

I asked Jeff about the poster:

Pulling inspiration from the Original Terrapin Turtles from the cover of the Grateful Dead album - Terrapin Station. Also working on some other projects for Phil Lesh, knowing how much he Likes the Terrapin Turtles. It seemed only right to start to put them into new "updated" actions on these current projects. And having been inspired by the Dead since The 80's, I have spent a good part of my art life re-creating Turtles as well as Dancing Bears and Skeletons into many various scenarios. Now with Phil And Friends I have put Terrapins into situations from Snowboarding, to Hot Dog Vending, riding a motorcycle, to bowling. The Bowling Terrapin has become somewhat of the current mascot for all of Phils shows at the Brooklyn Bowl. This poster was an opportunity to place him in a bowling alley scene, where on Tshirts and other merch it's just the Turtle and the bowling ball. This is also my very first "Foil" poster. 150 were printed for the shows. There is also a very very limited run of Glitter Foil Artist Proof Variants.
