Batman on Gargoyle by Stan Sakai & The Christmas Fall by Guillaume Singelin Prints
French Paper Art Club and Geek-Art have a couple new prints for The One Year of Batman project for Warner and DC Comics. The new Dark Knight prints are drawn by two artists they love and respect. The first one is from Stan Sakai, the famous creator of one of their favorite comics ever : Usagi Yojimbo. Myamoto Usagi is a rabbit, more especially a ronin (Samurai without a master) in the XVIIth century Japan. Stan Sakai was born in Kyoto, and loves and cherishes Japan culture and history. A love that feeds this comics, one of the last drew and written by a single person (since 1984). Usagi is also a friend of the Ninja Turtles, as Stan was pal with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird (creators of the TMNT). Usagi was part of the cartoon, but was also an official toy of the famous line by Playmates. Raph even traveled in time to meet Usagi in one of Usagi Yojimbo's numerous adventures. If you don't know Usagi Yojimbo, go ahead and read it ! It was a great honor for them to collaborate with Stan on this project, and to reveal to you guys this awesome Batman signed by the father of Usagi. This limited screen print will be available Thursday the 12th at a random hour on French Paper Art Club !
