Brad Klausen Avett Brothers Orlando & Kalamazoo Posters Release
I love see artists work with new bands for the first time and recently Brad Klausen had the opportunity to create three posters for The Avett Brothers. Two posters for two shows in Orlando, Florida and one for the concert in Kalamazoo, Michigan this past weekend.
Orlando, Florida Posters are as follows
Night 1 April 11th - 12" x 30.5", 7 Colors (blue and purple are metallic)
signed and numbered out of 50
Night 2 April 12th - 12" x 30.5", 7 Colors (blue and purple are metallic)
signed and numbered out of 50
uncut sheet - 24" x 30.5", 7 Colors (blue and purple are metallic)
signed and numbered out of 25
These two posters were for the two nights The Avett Brothers played at the House of Blues in Orlando recently.
There are 25 uncut sheets at 24" x 30.5", numbered out of 25. And then there are 50 individually cut pairs for both nights, 12" x 30.5". If you purchase both nights as individuals you will get matching numbers for both.
This image for the Kalamazoo poster came from a print Brad made in an etching class a few years ago. He took two prints of the same etched image and brought them into Photoshop and overlaid and combined and colored them to get this final image. Steve at DL did an amazing job separating the colors. The etching class was one of those local art classes you go to for like one day a week for a month, and make a print or two. While Brad enjoyed learning some of the etching process and would love to mess around with it some more, Brad didn't have any of the supplies and moved far away from that class... so this is probably one of the only times he'll make a poster like this... which is a drag, because based off how this image turned out, it'd be fun to see Brad explore etching images and then turning them into screen prints more.
The poster measures 16 5/8" x 24", 6 Color screen print with a signed & numbered edition of 80
All these posters go on sale Tuesday April 21st at 9 AM Pacific at ArtilleryDesign.com
