Black Dragon Press are delighted to release ROSSUM’S UNIVERSAL ROBOTS (R.U.R.) by
Sam Chivers. R.U.R. is a brilliant little science fiction play by the Czech writer Karel Čapek. It premiered in 1921 and is credited with introducing the word “robot” to the English language and to science fiction as a whole. Sam Chivers’ piece is both fun and theatrical and reminds folks of Czech Modernism whilst still being undoubtedly his.
