Tomer Hanuka Gothic Batman Print Release

Bottleneck Gallery are letting Tomer Hanuka and Tula Lotay take over the Batcave this Thursday with their newest officially licensed Batman prints!

Tomer’s take on the Dark Knight brings to light a darker representation of the caped character. Looking almost vampiric, Tomer’s Batman literally balances amidst the light and darkness, which they think suits Batman’s character quite well.

Tula’s print, featuring art from her cover for the comic All-Star Batman Batman #7, sees the Caped Crusader in the grips of his floral foe, Poison Ivy. Tula’s Poison Ivy drawing is powerfully seductive and captivating.

James Jean Mother Movie Poster Release

James Jean is releasing a new print to coincide with the movie. mother! is a signed and numbered limited edition of giclée prints. Working directly with Darren Aronofsky, Jean created the image for mother! As the launch poster for the movie, which features a collection of Easter eggs from the enigmatic story. The print features an ornate gold foil embossed title, a blind embossment of a crystal heart, and a gold foil chop.

The print measure 23 x 33.5 inches. It will be a limited edition of only 100 pieces.

Metallica Denmark Prints by Brandon Heart Release

Metallica kicked off the European leg of their WorldWired Tour on September 2 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Brandon Heart did the poster for the show.

The swords in the poster are Danish Viking swords and the text "Ikke Noget" above the eye is Danish for "Nothing". The poster is based off the "King Nothing" song from the bands 1996 album "Load".

Posters measure 18" x 24" and are 6 color screen prints for Metallica's September 2nd, 2017 show at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Jonathan Burton E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Movie Poster Release From Mondo

E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Steven Spielberg's iconic story of an unlikely friendship between a young boy and a stranded, lovably strange alien is filmmaking magic at its purest. On Tuesday Mondo will have a stunning new poster by Jonathan Burton celebrating the classic sci-fi film as it's released on a new 35th anniversary edition Blu-ray. Mondo feels Jonathan is one of the best artists working today and his approach to this poster and the final rendering is nothing short of spectacular.

Here's what Jonathan had to say about the poster:

"Settling on an idea from this visually spectacular film was a difficult task. I sketched out many possibilities from different scenes but this one mainly stood out because of the wonderful ‘phone home’ contraption which I wanted to delve into. It’s a kind of W.Heath Robinson style construction where a small action of the wind in the trees tugs at a rope which pulls a fork to turn a wheel which sets off this surprising machine to send a message through space. It’s a magical moment in the film made all the more endearing by the use of Elliot’s 1980s equipment.

I didn’t want to shy away from showing E.T. as a major element of the poster as he’s so iconic but also because I welcomed the challenge of drawing a creature so fascinatingly odd. The character is a great design of unthreatening strangeness and this balance is tricky to capture. His pointing finger is an obvious tribute to the original poster though I like how we have it leading to his home, and with the special spot varnish we only get a glimpse of his solar system within the right light.

Oh how I crave the BMX of my youth."
