On behalf of author and curator DB Burkeman, and the team at 323East they would like to cordially invite you to join them on March 24th from 6-10 pm at 323East Gallery in Royal Oak for the upcoming exhibition “Stuck Up” From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art as the traveling exhibition makes it's third appearance across the country.

323East Gallery and DB Burkeman are proud to present the traveling exhibition which has been curated from Burkeman’s extensive personal collection. This exhibition provides an unparalleled opportunity to explore the expanding role that stickers have played in popular culture over the past four decades. “STUCK-UP” features stickers from street art legends like Banksy, Barry McGee, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader and KAWS. In addition, internationally lauded contemporary artists like Andy Warhol, Jenny Holzer, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst and Tom Sachs are all shown side by side with hundreds of anonymous stickers peeled from streets around the world.
After receiving acclaimed reviews at Art Basel Miami Beach 2011, the STUCK-UP tour will make it’s 3rd stop of the year at 323East Gallery in Royal Oak as DB Burkeman will host the exhibition’s opening reception from 6pm - 10pm. Burkeman will also be signing books and talking about the extensive history that led to the book being put together.
On the exterior of the gallery there will be a plexi-glass wall where we will encourage local artists, bands, businesses and brands to add their own stickers. At the end of the exhibition the wall will be packed up and continue on with the traveling exhibition.
STUCK-UP will be on exhibition from March 24th, 2012 - April 15th 2012.
