"Running with the Parliament" is 24 x 18 piece of original art on scratchboard. Craig put in more than 100 hour in creating this beauty. In case you're wondering a group of Owls is called a parliament, which I did not know until I looked it up.
Brian Merel is using the art as inspiration to create food for the evenings at the gallery. Here is Brian's story and food pairing:
"At the top of the southern wilderness's predatory food chain near the middle of the 23rd Century, the Dire Wowls used their infamously brutal tactics to savage their favorite prey, the elusive and lethal Corn Horning Shrig."
The food pairing is Bacon laced shrimp with roasted corn jalapeño puree and chive oil. Craig is a huge fan of bacon so there had to be some in the dish.
