On the 15th of February the Astor Theatre screened the final chapter of Sergio Leone’s masterful Spaghetti Western “Dollars” trilogy, “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.
To celebrate one of the best westerns ever made The Astor, with the help of MGM, have created a screen printed poster to commemorate the evening.
UK artist Matt Taylor has done a brilliant job of illustrating the surreal and sweeping landscape seen throughout the film and the complex relationship between Blondie and Tuco. Looking at the poster it is hard not to hear Ennio Morricone’s iconic whistling score playing through ones head.
There are two versions of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly poster a regular and a variant. The variant features the original Italian title and a metallic gold ink symbolizing the coveted buried treasure of coins that is the Macguffin of the film.
Due to licensing restrictions the posters can only be sold to The United States, United Kingdom, Australian and New Zealand customers.
