It's crazy to think Depeche Mode has been around for over 30 years now. While the 80's and early 90's is when they peaked, they toured as recently as 2013 and from that tour Kii Arens made this poster. It was done for 3 sold out shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The poster is a 17" x 24" Fluorescent Lithograph and it can be yours if you have a good memory or cheat and use Google.
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment with your favorite Depeche Mode song for a chance to win this poster. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the Random Number Generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM PDT Saturday August 15 and the winner will be announced on Sunday.
Thank you again to Kii Arens for another colorful giveaway. And just for the record KMFDM who I love, does not stand for Kill Mother Fuckin Depeche Mode. It's the letters of the band members.
Yes I did do this before back in January. Either the winner did not come forward or I got 2 of these from Kii. Either way it's a great chance for a free poster !!

ReplyDeleteBTW, KMFDM is for Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, which is German for No Pity for the Majority. In 1993, to promote the album Angst, TVT Records asked radio station DJs what KMFDM stood for. Kill MotherFucking Depeche Mode was the most popular entry. Other submissions:
(lead singer Sascha) Konietzko Makes Fine Dance Music
Klingons Marry Flighty Detroit Maidens
Keep Me From Doing Marijuana
Killing Madonna Frees Desperate Minds
Ketchup My Fries, Don’t Miss
Kill Moshers For Doc Martens
Kidnap Madonna For Drug Money
Killer Mushrooms Fuck Da Mind
Kaleidoscopes Make For Daily Magic

Never let me down again as I remember riding and listening to it with friends. Aaah the good old days. Erica
