David Welker Studio Grand Opening 2.0

Bottleneck Gallery have got a new neighbor: David Welker! David recently relocated his art studio to Brooklyn, and they’d like to welcome him, and all of you, to the neighborhood with a brand new Open House!

Despite the big move, David’s been pouring his time into a multitude of new pieces, and he’s incredibly excited to share them with all of his fans. The new studio is filled to the brim with David’s work, both old and new, and they’re excited for everybody to take a look around!

Here are the details for the event--all times listed below are in EDT:

Doors to Welker Studios, located at 60 Broadway, will open Saturday (6/1) @ 2PM. The show will run until 6PM.

Due to the new location, camping is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. To make it fair for all attending, they’ll be implementing the following process:

They will have a sign-in sheet on Friday (5/31) from 12PM to 6PM; and on Saturday (6/1) from 8AM until doors open.

For people arriving on Friday 12PM ET, they will hold a lottery at 12:30PM EDT to determine your position for making a purchase at show’s opening. Please be advised that you will have to return at 1PM EDT on Saturday (6/1) to join the entry line. Orders will be taken in sequential number order! If you are not present when your number is called, you will forfeit your place in line and must go to the back of the line in order to purchase anything.

Each person will receive a ticket after signing in. ONE ticket per person, and you CANNOT sign in other people.

David Welker will be in attendance throughout the event.

Refreshments will be served!

There will be several new originals and the main gallery space will be hung salon style with dozens of pieces from his three decade long career. David will be debuting close to twenty new limited edition prints including techniques from deep impression letterpress to screen print to special ultra violet cured varnished giclees and foils! There will also be two show cards specially made for the opening.

David will be in attendance greeting visitors and hand remarking prints all day, so please don't be shy.

Moving forward the gallery will have public hours and they will continue to have special openings as new work emerges. Says David "As an artist this is truly a dream scenario to have an ongoing public venue for my work in such a cool place, hosted by a crew of visionary professionals with a worldwide reputation of excellence, the best customer service in the business and who continually treat artists and collectors with respect and dignity."
