I was going to make some silly comment about just in from the Home Office in Omaha, Nebraska comes the Black Keys poster by Chuck Sperry. The poster is for Council Bluffs Iowa not sure why the Black Keys said Omaha.
Anyway yes this poster is sick. Chuck Sperry put his twenty years of silkscreen printing experience into the design for the poster for the show tonight in Omaha. He used all kinds of crazy metallic and translucent inks, and the background is a custom designed "Black Keys" psychedelic wallpaper! On sale at the show tonight and from Chuck soon.
Nice Poster! Is the reference from LNWDL or something more obscure???

ReplyDeleteThis poster is SICK. Does Sperry usually do his on-sales the day after show? Or on the weekends? Or totally random?
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding a mint one. Poster stack got rained on for about 30 minutes according to the merch dude. Corners of many of the posters are curled up, some even with mud on them. Total bummer.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I was also there and witnessed the downpour take out several of the posters. I'd have to say about 1/2, if not more, saw some water damage. I did manage to get one from the bottom of the stack that was pretty close to mint after they moved the merch table inside. Anyway, they look amazing in person, the photo doesn't do it justice.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enougg to be staying at the hotel there. bought mine inside, and walked it up to the room and laid it out on the desk.... SCORE!
