Vasco Valentim Ride Tour Poster

Vasco Valentim just released a new poster, this time for the ongoing shoegazing band, RIDE and its reunion world tour.

It’s a run of 250 posters that are signed & numbered.
Measurements: 42 x 60 cm

RIDE's music has this ethereal feeling to it. It's deep, hard and subtle at the same time. The wave crashing into the rocks depicts exactly that. It's overwhelming, it washes and sweeps everything away. The bottle drifting is almost what the journey of listening to RIDE's music.

Vasco Valentim Umberto & Antoni Maiovvi Tour Poster

Vasco Valentim just released a new print for the European Tour of Umberto and Antoni Maiovvi!

Vascon on the design of the posters:

Their music is quite eerie, based and inspired in horror films, mainly from the 70s and 80s (think John Carpenter). A death nature in which raven eats the inside of a vampire skull is what I used to illustrate this chilling world.

The posters are printed with a metallic gold ink on black paper.

The idea behind it was a bit based on the whisper idea. Sing me a song..whisper it to me hear. So I came up with this image of a girl with her hair surrounded by hummingbirds, almost humming to her a lullaby.-Vasco

Vasco Valentim is a Portuguese artist who just released a poster for the Steve Gunn European Tour.

The 3 color hand screen printed poster is a limited edition run of 70 posters designed and produced by Chá de Polpa for Steve Gunn's European Tour, Fall 2014.

I asked him about the design:

The idea behind this piece was to illustrate this really incredible and heavy storm. A really dense, elegant and complex windy landscape that surrounds and embraces at the same time this small house at the bottom, from where some sort of magic or power is emerging...
This somehow represents the album tunes, the multi layered music of Steve Gunn.
Steve Gunn is a folk / guitarist virtuoso. Recently he has gained more and more visibility, playing at Pitchfork Festival or SWSW 2015. In this tour he opened for War on Drugs.
