Lost Souls of the Cascade Tunnel
There is a delicate, wispy quality to some of the creatures Deuce 7 has birthed. However, unlike landing in the colorful, comforting yarn of an afghan blanket, I suspect that a run-in with one of his characters would be like getting stung by a jellyfish. Haunted eyes, sharp teeth, and skull heads emerge from swirling seas of color in some works. Others appear to be sinister Dr. Seuss creations. "Lost Souls of the Cascade Tunnel" will welcome the return of Deuce Seven to the gallery space for his first solo show there in three years. The artist has spent that time creating street art on trains and buildings, as well as illustrating magazines and newspapers. You will also get to see his newest print Erin Jesme Christ
Opening reception 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 13.
