Dan MacAdam of Crosshair has released some new posters and prints. Spoon commissioned a poster for their March 6th performance in Philadelphia. There's a new one for Arriver/Stomatopod/Masonic Wave, which also yielded a very limited variant in the form of the "Relay" art print. The long sold-out 20-sided die patch is back in stock, and we've added a new patch for your battle jacket: the elusive 666 sided die. Erica Williams Rapunzel Art Print Release

No comments:

Erica Williams has released a new print titled Rapunzel. She really wanted to release her before the end of Women’s History Month as the print is about “taking it back” as a woman and embracing your identity and worth.

$5 of every Rapunzel print sold will be donated to Equality Now, an international women’s charity that works to help educate, empower, and rescue women around the world.
This particular print is very special to me. I constantly encounter sexism and misogyny, both personally and professionally. Every female artist probably has at least one story about the fans that are too creepy or who make inappropriate comments. Some of us, myself included, refrain from posting photos of ourselves online to try and avoid sexist comments and objectification. I commonly encounter clients who are wildly inappropriate, with questions like “are you barren” and comments that are borderline harassment. Even at events it is assumed that my husband is “the artist” because why would a woman be the artist? There is not enough time to detail how often, and how offensive, this can be. “Rapunzel” is a reply to these behaviors, and is my way of highlighting the need for women to stand up, take control, and speak out and for men to support all the ladies as well. Men, step the fuck up. And ladies, kick ass and don’t apologize. - Erica

Obey Giant Wrong Path Large Format Print Release

No comments:

Obey Giant is releasing another Shepard Fairey print in the large format and it looks sick.
The Wrong Path print is a recognition of the challenges anyone championing environmental responsibility face as well as a comment on the potentially disastrous consequences of the shortsighted policies of Trump’s current administration. The president pulled the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord and appointed Scott Pruitt as head of the Environmental Protection Agency when he had a record of opposing environmental regulation and suing the EPA! We need to consider the consequences of transferring the baggage of irresponsible environmental policies to future generations. – Shepard
Wrong Path Large Format. 47.5 x 33.5 inches. 5 color screenprint on cream 100% cotton archival paper with hand-deckled edges. Signed by Shepard Fairey. Numbered edition of 75. $900. Obey publishing chop in lower left corner. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

Inspired by the song "Over and Over and Over" and the cover to "Technical Ecstasy", although the figures on that cover were having a better time than the pair of Jacks here.

Poster is a 18 x 24 inch screen print with a signed & numbered edition of 276.

James Flames 311 Day Poster & Art Print Release

James Flames will have the last few copies of his official 311-Day print, and its "Moon Lava" HoloFoil variant. The poster illustration is titled "Three Strings, and Eleven Arms to Play Them", his ode to the band on their annual holiday!

"Always Searching, Always Finding"....this piece has had a long journey for James. It started as a poster illustration last year, but he felt like it still had more to say, more for him to explore. So James started this painting again from scratch, and he thinks that now, finally, its story is complete!

There's a magical forest at the dawn of a new day, and a traveler and his trusty canine companion; there are three keys, and three keyholes, each opening the way to new experiences; there's a family of bunnies, curious as can be; and there's the most unlikely doorway, leading to the furthest reaches of forever.

This is a Giclée print,16" x 20", which has been painstakingly proofed and lovingly printed on the finest 290gsm paper (archival, natural, and incredibly sturdy), and it's ready to be a part of your home!

Joining the likes of Robbie Conal, Shepard Fairey, Brandon Boyd and Ron English, 1xRUN are excited to kick off 2018's first release as part of the print suite and welcome back Aiko for her latest release. Each print in this series is almost completely hand-painted by Aiko, with each color individually hand-painted before a 1-color screen print. Each is completely unique and will vary slightly from print to print. Be sure to snag your favorite before it's sold out and help support two great organizations, as a portion of the proceeds from this release will help benefit the Flint Child Health & Development Foundation and the Michigan ACLU! Snag this print and please help support these organizations directly as well!
"Since this project is to help people who are suffering from water in Flint, I wanted to use this image of a girl with spirit of water. Like the angel of water; she is chilling in the glass of water. Water should be free and clean for everyone, we are all part of nature. I was working on this print throughout February hand coloring one by one, and it was period of Aquarius, zodiac sign, which is the symbol of the water server. I also discovered that the word Aquarius actually referred to the public water system in ancient Rome. When I discovered what happened with the Flint Water Crisis I couldn’t believe that it was happening now, and I am very furious about how government cannot do anything with it. Shame, why people in ancient times were able to provide clean water to everyone but not in Michigan in 2018?" - Aiko
The Pink variant has an edition of 35.
The Blue Variant has an edition of 15
The hand embellished variant has an edition of 10

Each print is 20 x 24 Inches and a 6-Color Hand-Painted Stencil, 1-Color Screen Print on 290gsm Coventry Rag Fine Art Paper.

Kii Arens Gun Control Art Print

Kii Arens has released a new print with a powerful message.
Sometimes you have to wonder if everyone is born with a functioning brain. Countless accounts of semi-automatic weapon attacks are making us numb in the United States. Australia fixed this same problem with only one attack…they just had the courage to make that right change. The greedy and stubborn nature of the NRA and the people who support it needs to be stopped. For the first time I feel a turning of the tides due to the brave students from Florida who have given the youth a voice. Their words make politicians and world leaders seem as though they are out of touch with the times and needs of America. Despite these strong words I remain optimistic that good will always win in the end… no matter the cost.
The print is 24" x 16" Fluorescent Lithograph
Signed and Numbered series of 100.
A portion of the proceeds will go to helping the many victims.

Matt Ryan Tobin Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Movie Poster Release By Skuzzles

No comments:

Skuzzles last two releases have been video game related, but they're back to tackling their favorite films. Around this time last year, Skuzzles released Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey by Matt Ryan Tobin. Now, they're back with Matt to release a limited edition screen print for the one that started it all--Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. This limited edition screen print is a companion piece to Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Being Matt's favorite films, he wanted to create Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure / Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey prints for the ultimate Bill and Ted fans, with a style that allows both prints to be hung as a set, or alone. Growing up, these films were among their favorites. Skuzzles couldn't be happier with how Matt was able to pack so much into these prints. They barely made it out of the box before they had them framed and hung side-by-side. Skuzzles hope all the Bill and Ted fans out there love these as much as we do!

Here's some feedback from Matt Ryan Tobin regarding his Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure poster:
"The 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' poster has finally been revealed! Excellent! Much like my first poster in this set (Bogus Journey), this took me quite some time. It was always the plan to make two posters that could stand on their own but also work in a set.

I deliberately wanted these posters to feel "electric" in my lines, and over all style of rendering. So I had to revisit a style of drawing I hadn't visited in a over almost 2 years (2 Years....whoa...) but also make it feel lighter, friendlier and more playful. I love this film with my whole heart. I really have these films to thank for inspiring a young kid to create.

I hope fans of these movies can see the love behind these posters, as I made them for the true B&T fans, like myself.

Much thanks to Skuzzles for allowing me to spend as much time as I did with Bill S. Preston and Ted Theodore Logan.Wyld Stallyns Rules!"

No comments:

On the last day of winter in 2018, PangeaSeed is pleased to announce their latest print release of their ongoing Sea of Change: The Year of Living Dangerously - Vol. 4 print suite by guest artist Dulk (Spain). The highlighted ocean environmental issue of this edition is global warming/climate change.

Edition size: 50 prints plus 5 APs signed and numbered by the artist
Paper: Beautiful hand deckle edges on Italian cold press watercolor paper
Dimensions: 14x24 inches with one inch border
Available Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 12pm PST via

Artist statement:
The accelerated melting of the Arctic, caused by human impact and global warming, threatens the survival of polar bears and iconic marine life like beluga whales. Polar bears need ice to walk, hunt and feed their young. If there is no ice there is no rest, no food, and extinction crawls closer. The melting of sea ice forces them to swim for hundreds of miles, which poses a great risk to the cubs.

This artwork is a representation of a mural I painted in Churchill, Manitoba (Canada) for PangeaSeed Foundation's Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans program. Churchill is considered the polar bear capital of the world and the mural represents the forced journey of a family of bears and belugas in their last winter on earth. The cub grabs its treasured iceberg treasure, which helps the family to escape from the destructive impact humans are having on the Earth.
