Juan Ramos Halloween Movie Poster Release

 

 
Tricks or Treats? Well....Grey Matter Art all about the treats this week at GMA and they got one coming at you from one of the most classic slasher films of all time! Under license from Compass International Pictures, GMA are pleased to bring you this stunning poster from artist, Juan Ramos for the classic 1978 film, "Halloween" from horror pioneer, John Carpenter! Juan takes us back to that dreaded night where Michael Myers escapes Smith's Grove Sanitarium and returns to terrorize his hometown of Haddonfield. WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Prints Release

 

 Are you coming down from the Comic-Con Craziness this past weekend, Grey Matter Art is not either, so this week they are pleased to offer two limited edition posters featuring artwork from the ever stellar Disney+ streaming service for Marvel Studio's, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier! They have thoroughly enjoyed these shows and GMA can't wait to see how these stories will play out in future films! First up, GMA are pleased to feature art by Ruiz Burgos. He gives us a very classic 50's era style that nails the period from the first two episodes perfectly. GMA love this look here down from the clothes to the furniture! Halloween Movie Poster By Tyler Stout Release

 

Halloween... in April? Sure, why not. Who really needs a reason to celebrate one of the best horror films in the genre! And that's why Grey Matter Art enlisted the help of one of their good pals and artist, Tyler Stout to create this epic poster for the 1978 John Carpenter Directed slasher film, Halloween! To see Tyler conjure up a poster for this film is a real treat. They know fans have been clamoring to see him tackle this classic property for a while now and the time has finally come where we get to see him check it off his long list of John Carpenter films. You can tell Tyler is a huge admirer of this movie when you see all of the time and detail that went into making this stunning work of art. This poster captures the essence of Halloween perfectly by blending some of our favorite scenes together and combining them with classic imagery from the film. It's these many elements that continue to remind us why this cinematic masterpiece remains so special to us after all of these years. Gabz Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Poster Foil Variant Release

 

Grey Matter Art have an incredibly fun drop for you all this week. A little ways back they had the opportunity to collaborate with Polish graphic designer and illustrator, Grzegorz Domaradzki (Gabz) on the Marvel Studios 2014 super-hero space adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy! GMA were so thrilled with Gabz's work last time that they've decided to come back and revisit the poster, but this time with a twist! They're introducing this print as a new color Variant printed on Holo Foil Paper! The gorgeous new color-way really lets us see this poster in a new light, and combined with the nuanced hints of foil paper, really help accentuate the poster in a fun new way!

Nicolas Delort Nostalghia Movie Poster Release & More

 

 
This week Black Dragon Press are teaming up with MONDO and releasing two new posters paying homage to films by two giants of world cinema: Andrei Tarkovsky's ‘Nostalghia’ and Carl Theodore Dreyer's ‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’.

Nico Delort's art direction in their previous Tarokvsky posters was just about perfect, so it seemed like the right thing to do to ask him to turn to illustrating the latest poster in the series: Trakovsky's study of homesickness ‘Nostalghia’. Delort's masterful use of composition and value really shine through in this appropriately beautiful and elegant poster.

‘Nostalghia’ is an 18" x 24" screenprint from an edition of 200.

Zi Xu is a new artist for BDP, but they suspect they will be working with her again and again. Like Dreyer's tragic masterpiece Zi does not pull any punches and delivers a gut-wrenching portrayal of Joan of Arc that gets you right in the feels. At the same time energetic and sobering, this poster delivers.

‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’ comes in two editions. A UK variant from an edition of 50, and a US red variant also from an edition of 50.

The move was originally released in the UK in 1957 as Night Of The Demon. Scenes were cut for the US release to achieve a shorter runtime in 1958, and the movie was re-titled Curse Of The Demon.

Silent Running by Matt Ferguson & The Thing by Patrick Connan Release

Vice Press has launch their newest line of prints: Vice Press Editions. Vice Press Editions is a collection of open edition prints, taking the pressure off of having to wait for a limited edition drop and giving everyone who wants one plenty of time to pick a copy up. Each print released will be available for an extended period and they will always give plenty of notice ahead of them going out of print.

The first releases are Silent Running by Matt Ferguson and The Thing by Patrick Connan. They wanted to make Vice Press Editions more wall space friendly and each movie poster will be A2 in size. That’s 594x420mm or 16.5x23.4 inches, making it easier to get off the shelf frames, or custom frames much more affordable. Each movie poster will also be priced at just £29.99.

Occasionally VPE will also be releasing some smaller art prints to coincide with the movie posters, and for this release Matt has designed 3 5x5inch art cards featuring Silent Running’s Huey, Dewey and Louie! This set will cost just £14.99 and will be available as long as Matt’s Silent Running is in print.

For The Thing, Patrick Connan has designed two amazing new posters, each capturing key iconography from the movie.

Francesco Francavilla Rambo First Blood Part 2 Movie Poster Release

After Rambo First Blood, Nautilus Art Prints continues to build on its success by presenting Rambo “The Mission”. This second installment plunges us this time into Vietnam with a Rambo in search of redemption. Sylverster Stallone, omnipresent on
the screen, even signs part of the script alongside James Cameron.

Becky Cloonan Marketa Lazarová Movie Poster Release

On Friday Black Dragon Press will be releasing new posters by Becky Cloonan for the Czech film epic ‘Marketa Lazarová’, arguably the most convincing film about the Middle Ages ever made.

There are two versions of the poster: a 24" x 36" film poster and an 18" x 24" art print with split fountain.

Oliver Barrett First Blood RAMBO Movie Poster Release

Mondo have a new poster in their partnership with their friends over at Nautilus Art Prints for one of the greatest action films ever: FIRST BLOOD by Oliver Barrett.

Based on the novel by David Morrell, the 1982 film introduced much of the world to one of Stallone's other iconic characters: John Rambo. They're particularly fond of how Oliver nailed that stone-cold gaze as Rambo wages a one-man war through the lush Pacific Northwest.

Regular edition is a hand numbered edition of 300 and the variant is an edition of 82. Both are 24 x 36 inch screenprints.
