Silent Running by Matt Ferguson & The Thing by Patrick Connan Release

Vice Press has launch their newest line of prints: Vice Press Editions. Vice Press Editions is a collection of open edition prints, taking the pressure off of having to wait for a limited edition drop and giving everyone who wants one plenty of time to pick a copy up. Each print released will be available for an extended period and they will always give plenty of notice ahead of them going out of print.

The first releases are Silent Running by Matt Ferguson and The Thing by Patrick Connan. They wanted to make Vice Press Editions more wall space friendly and each movie poster will be A2 in size. That’s 594x420mm or 16.5x23.4 inches, making it easier to get off the shelf frames, or custom frames much more affordable. Each movie poster will also be priced at just £29.99.

Occasionally VPE will also be releasing some smaller art prints to coincide with the movie posters, and for this release Matt has designed 3 5x5inch art cards featuring Silent Running’s Huey, Dewey and Louie! This set will cost just £14.99 and will be available as long as Matt’s Silent Running is in print.

For The Thing, Patrick Connan has designed two amazing new posters, each capturing key iconography from the movie.

AJ Masthay Open House Prints & Thought Bubble Posters From Bottleneck Gallery

Get ready Bottleneck Gallery has a ton of cool art dropping.

This past weekend featured a plethora of art events, both locally and abroad! BNG would like to congratulate their friends at Vice Press for their successful weekend at Thought Bubble over in the UK, and BNG are also proud of AJ Masthay for his latest Open House!

In addition to Vice Press’ impressive featured prints at Thought Bubble, they were also able to pull off a daring screening event. BNG collaborated with Vice Press on so many stateside screenings, but they premiered their first special UK screening during Thought Bubble weekend, and fended off against the elements, literally, to insure that their Shaun of the Dead screening went ahead as planned, and that Matt Ferguson’s exclusive print was available! BNG are happy to offer a very limited allocation of Vice Press’ Thought Bubble prints for fans who couldn’t make the event.

AJ’s recent Open House at his studio in Connecticut, looked like an absolute blast, including: rare archive editions sales, mystery tubes, live printing demoes, and so much more! AJ’s an absolute machine, and they’re happy to help by offering a selection of prints from his opening.

Matt Ferguson 4 Movie Posters Release By Grey Matter Art & Vice Press

Vice Press and Grey Matter Art to Release Limited Edition Posters by Matt Ferguson for John Carpenter’s THE FOG, THEY LIVE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and PRINCE OF DARKNESS In Classic Cinema Quad Sizing!

Last year Matt Ferguson and Vice Press had the honor of working with STUDIOCANAL on the release of their brand new 4k restorations of four of John Carpenter’s most iconic titles: THE FOG, THEY LIVE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and PRINCE OF DARKNESS. All four brand new 4k restorations were done using the original camera negatives, with the color grading approved for the new restorations and UHD versions by the films' Cinematographers: Gary B Kibbe and Dean Cundey.

As part of the release, each film was screened in cinemas across the U.K and featured brand new theatrical posters designed and illustrated by British artist and John Carpenter fan Matt Ferguson.

From the 10th of January, for one week only, GMA and VP will be giving collectors the opportunity to purchase these posters in their classic cinema quad sizes, a huge 40x30 inches. Each poster will retail for £50/ $60 or all four can be purchased as a set for the discounted cost of £150/ $190. Each print will be signed and numbered by the artist and the total size of the edition will be based on the number of posters ordered during this period. Each poster is a 30"x40' (inch) fine art print, printed on 250gsm Vitesse Silk Paper.

THE FOG, THEY LIVE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and PRINCE OF DARKNESS will be released via Vice Press (www.Vice-Press.com) at 5pm U.K time and Grey Matter Art (www.GreyMatterArt.com) at 12pm EST on the 10th of January and available until the same time on the 17th of January. Edition size will be dictated by number of prints purchased during this period.

“Last year I had the distinct pleasure of being hired by StudioCanal to work on the 4K John Carpenter classics. I conceptualized and made all of the key art for the films. It was a dream job for me and I am really happy the art came out pretty much exactly as I intended. Matt Ferguson is a Graphic Designer and Artist from Sheffield in the UK. Matt is best known for working with Marvel Studios designing artwork for the Marvel’s Avengers Blu-Ray collection and many promotional posters. He also regularly exhibits at galleries in the US including Bottleneck Gallery and is well known in the industry for his beautifully stylized creations for established Film and TV properties. Matt is also the co-founder and creative director of Vice Press.

Matt Ferguson Doctor Strange Movie Poster Release From Grey Matter Art

Grey Matter Art, under license from Marvel, is proud to announce a new officially licensed, limited edition, glow in the dark screen-print featuring the 2016 film, "Doctor Strange" by artist, Matt Ferguson. Created by Steve Ditko and writer, Stan Lee, Dr. Strange first appeared in Strange Tales #110 in July 1963 and appeared in two more issues before receiving his own origin story in Strange Tales #115 in December 1963.

Blade Runner By Matt Ferguson Release

This Thursday Bottleneck Gallery are heading to the future with Matt Ferguson to release a print for one of their favorite films from the past, Blade Runner!

Matt’s a mad genius when it comes to interpreting the distant lands presented in movies and creating art that simultaneously captures the visual aesthetic, as well as the overall mood, of the movies. He also loves unicorns. Combining those two, Matt’s created an incredible print with Rick Deckard’s cyberpunk version of Los Angeles as the main focus.
