Tim Doyle 512 Tacos Print Release From Sally Centigrade Gallery

The latest in Sally Centigrade's Travel by Screen series, where a poster is made for a popular area code for each state. For the Lone Star state they knew it had to be the legendary 512, area code for Austin. The artist for this one is Tim Doyle and it's titled 512 Tacos.

Artist statement:

Bats, Cats, Grackles, and Taco Trucks is just about all we have here in Austin. I’ve been here almost 20 years now, and this pretty much sums us all up. Although these new cats, man…I don’t know how I feel about them. The new cats moving to town are all…business.”

Tim Doyle Kraftwerk Trans Europe Express Poster From Flood Gallery

London’s The Flood Gallery launch the latest print in their Classic Album Sundays series, celebrating the incredible and hugely influential 6th album from Electronic Pioneers Kraftwerk; TRANS EUROPEAN EXPRESS.

Designed by TIM DOYLE and coinciding with Classic Album Sundays’ playback events taking place across the world this month.

The album was the 6th release from the Electronic pioneers and has been hugely influential on artists from Joy Division to Radiohead. This is Tim Doyle’s first creation for Classic Album Sundays since his take on Daft Punk’s ‘Discovery’ in August 2016 and again, he has produced an absolutely stunning piece.

Daft Punk And The Man Who Fell To Earth Posters by Tim Doyle Artist Edition

 Nakatomi has released the artist’s copies of both Tim Doyle’s DAFT PUNK/DISCOVERY gigposter and The Man Who Fell To Earth print!

A couple of weeks ago I revealed exclusively The Daft Punk print that was commissioned by ‘Classic Album Sundays’ in conjunction with The Flood Gallery in the UK. Print measures 18×24 and is hand printed in an edition of 120 worldwide!

Black Sabbath Tim Doyle Camden Poster Release

Nakatomi artist Tim Doyle was commissioned to produce this poster for the Black Sabbath show last Friday in Camden, NJ at the BB&T Pavilion!

Notes on the print from Doyle-

“I was totally honored to get a chance to do a poster for such a legendary band on their farewell tour! When it came to this particular print, I wanted to riff on the Satanic/Occult imagery associated with the band- and being the super-nerd that I am, I can’t think of ‘Satanic imagery’ without thinking of Mike Mignola’s long-running Hellboy series of comic books. So this is me, trying to work in that headspace and I’m super-pleased with the results!”

This hand-made silkscreened gig-poster measures 18×24 and is signed and numbered by the artist in an edition of 666. $30 each.

Nakatomi will have a SUPER TINY edition of 10 prints on silver Foil! $60 each.

Tim Doyle Man Who Fell to Earth Poster

Under The Floorboards and Studio Canal approached Tim Doyle to create a poster for the classic 1974 David Bowie-starring British Sci-fi film!

This 20×30 full-bleed hand-printed silkscreened print is signed and numbered by the artist in a regular edition of 145, and a rainbow foil variant edition of 55!

£5 from each print will go to charity: MAD ABOUT HARRY

“I specifically wanted to design this poster so that it could hang either direction, there is no true ‘up’ with this image. The film features Bowie playing an alien come to Earth to help save his family on his home planet, but instead finds his own moral ruin. My intention was to show him both ascending to salvation and falling to his own destruction. It’s truly a haunting and sparse film- if you haven’t seen it, seek it out. The artwork is by me, and the type and art assist is by Tyler Skaggs, who you can check out HERE.”

Tim Doyle Don’t Mention The War Print Release From Flood Gallery

Commissioned by The Flood Gallery as the first of their UK TV series poster collection, Don’t Mention The War’ inspired by the British comic TV series ‘Fawlty Towers’. This is an edition of 150, screen-printed by hand, signed and numbered by Tim Doyle.

Tim Doyle Coachella Poster Release

For the third year in a row, Nakatomi artist, Tim Doyle was commissioned to do an official poster for the Coachella music festival in Indio!

This year’s print is 18×24 and is signed and numbered in an edition of 200 worldwide. The poster debuted back last weekend at the fest, and that weekend’s copies sold out immediately- the remaining copies went on sale this weekend and sold out too.

On Monday the 25th, he will release the tiny amount of AP copies allotted to him on the Nakatomi site at 2pm Central time HERE.
