Ryan August ran the website IWantYourSkull.com, he was devoted to celebrating one of the oldest themes in art the skull. Ryan was a huge supporter of so many artists, designers, illustrators and like minded people. He gathered together all this talent several times a year in a Zine he put out called I Want Your Skull, showcasing the incredible artwork of many artists.
On Saturday July 11 he was involved in a car crash with his son Declan. His car went off the road and struck a tree. Ryan was killed instantly, Declan was buckled in his car seat and survived.
His family (wife Sarah and son Declan) and the gigposter art community have lost a really good person.
There is a thread on GigPosters.com with information about donations to the family. There will be something created to raise funds for the family as well by the artist on Gigposters and I'll let you know the details.
