The artist for tonight's Eddie Vedder poster is John Glomb. John Glomb is the Owner,Creator, and Founder of BYB (Back Yard Boards)and his privite Label NUTZ (Nutz Surfboards Hawaii) plus endless Artwork. HERE is his Facebook page. I hate to say it but I'm not impressed with this poster, what do you think ?
Too bad the poster is not more like his board art. Easy pass on this one.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, that's awful.
ReplyDeleteAfter the Chicago's posters, which were BRILLIANT, this is an easy adjective - CRAP! Hope Minneapolis is better. No thanks to this one. Not even sure what it is and does not capture the city at all. Did Eddie even see this one to sign off on it????
ReplyDeleteMehhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteI actually like it, EV loves his waves, and this is a play on the St. Louis Arch. Makes complete sense to me.
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to hire my friends to design the posters for my shows but that doesn't mean I will to allow them to this kind of amateurish work...
ReplyDeletetwo thumbs down.
nice organic art.....i like it!
ReplyDeleteBad photo of a nice piece of artwork. Eddies gig right now seems to be around the Ocean... Why cant everyone understand and get behind it??? Too much time for so much hate.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting sooooooooooo much more, but honestly it is not that bad in person. I think I like it because the album was conceived/written in Hawaii and it has that surfboard feel to it (obviously since the dude makes surfboards) ...I guess. But if you look at some of his other designs I think the poster could have been so much better.
ReplyDeleteAt least everytime I look at it I can be reminded of how killer the night was and how great Eddie's storytelling was...Eddie was in TOP form!!!!
Eddie loved the poster. The End. Aloha.
