Jeff Soto Nightgardens and Terrarium Keepers Prints Release

 

Jeff Soto will be releasing a couple of new prints Wednesday. 

 

Nightgardens giclee 

“The quiet night reveals its mysteries" This is an exclusive giclee of Soto’s painting that was exhibited in his “Nightgardens” exhibit at KP Projects, Los Angeles. Hand embellished giclee print on 40” wide x 14.5” tall Canson Infinity 100% cotton rag 310gsm acid free paper with deckled edges. Each print is signed, titled, numbered and embossed. Edition of only 25. 

 

The Giant giclee “Los Angeles slowly rises from the dense jungle” This painting was displayed as part of Soto’s “FutureGods” exhibit at the Lancaster Museum of Art. It was also the image used for his first NFT release. Printed on 18” x 24” Canson Infinity 100% cotton rag 310gsm acid free paper. Each print is signed, titled, numbered and embossed with an edition of only 50. 

 

Both prints will be available on his StormCloudz website on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at 12pm PST.

Jeff Soto Cactus Garden & Swallowtail Art Prints Release

Jeff Soto has a couple of new prints dropping today.

First up is Swallowtail.

I love butterflies, and they find their way into my art and my garden! This is my take on the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, one of my favorite butterflies. In 2019 this artwork (in a different format) was used as a gig poster for the band 311- this is the art print version.-JS

This print comes in three color variants in editions of only 33 prints each (Blue, Pink and Orange). Prints are signed, titled, numbered and embossed by Jeff Soto. Printed on 18” x 24” archival paper.

Next up is Cactus Garden and if you know Jeff you know he loves his succulents. It will be a Timed edition: Print will be available for purchase on Thursday, July 23 at 12pm noon Pacific and will end at midnight (Pacific) on Sunday, July 26th. Total number of prints sold within that time will determine the edition size.

Jeff Soto Skull of Life Art Print Release

Jeff Soto has an amazing piece of work releasing Wednesday. This marks a more personal direction in his creative process.

Here is Jeff in his own words discussing his new approach:

I’m on a quest to create more personal art prints so I made a decision last year to take on less gig poster assignments. I have always loved the art and process of screenprinting- the layers, the colors, the linework and the shapes! These fine art prints will not have “Metallica” or “Primus” or “Pearl Jam” on them but I am creating them with the same artistic spirit and care. These prints are for my fans, and I’m hoping some of friends I have met along the way making gig posters will like them too!

This is “Skull of Life”. It celebrates Spring’s colorful flower blooms, bugs, bees, butterflies and the wild growth of Nature. It is inspired visually by my own plant collection of cacti and succulents.

There will be two editions.

“Skull of Life”, 18” x 24”, 7 color screenprint on Madero Beach 100lb paper. The print is signed, embossed and numbered in an edition of 100. Printed by Industry in Austin, TX.

“Skull of Life” celebrates Spring’s colorful flower blooms, bugs, bees, butterflies and the wild growth of Nature. It is inspired visually by Soto’s love of plants.

“Skull of Life”, 20” x 28”, hand embellished 7 color screenprint on 300gsm Industry Recycled Rag paper with deckled edge. This print is signed, embossed, titled and numbered in a small edition of only 10 prints. Printed by Industry in Austin, TX.

This is a very special edition of “Skull of Life”. Each print is hand embellished by Soto and completely unique! These are printed on an amazing paper called Industry Recycled Rag. Created by famed papermaker Yama Ploskonka of Papel Texano, this 300gsm handmade paper was created for Industry Print Shop’s 10 year anniversary. Ploskonka took 500 sheets of screen printed test prints and created a beautiful recycled cotton rag paper. No two sheets are alike- each contains small remnants of past screenprints, each shred, rich with its own history! Every sheet is watermarked with Industry Editions & Papel Texano marks (pic before hand embellishment and signing).

Jeff Soto Nightgardens Print On Wood Release

Jeff Soto wanted to put this image out as a print for two years! Nightgardens is a large 36 x 10.5 in. (91.44 x 26.67 cm) fine art wood print on 1/2" sustainable birch with a bright white finish. This print is being sold as a timed edition- all orders placed before Saturday Dec. 3rd will be tallied and that will be the edition number. All prints are hand signed and numbered by Jeff Soto. There is a white Italian frame option as well.

"Nightgardens” was the center painting in Soto’s 2015 Los Angeles exhibit of the same name (and was recently shown in the group exhibit “Altrealities" in Mesa, AZ). The artwork evokes a sense of mystery and spiritualism, with a great owl staring ahead and watching over rocks and minerals, plants and glowing objects.

Metallica Lyon Prints By Jeff Soto Release

Heads up fans of Jeff Soto and Metallica, his Lyon France AP posters drop on Wednesday.

The posters are 18” x 24” limited edition screen prints for Metallica’s September 12th show at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon, France. AP (yellow and red with GID) edition of 50, Night (grey with GID) edition of 30, Rainbow Foil edition of 30, and Gold Foil edition of 25.

The poster was inspired by Metallica’s "…And Justice For All" album, as well as the famous Monument à la Gloire de la République in Lyon.

Jeff Soto 311 New Braunfels Poster Artist Edition Release

Now that is one crazy ass transformer right there and it's going to cause some mayhem in your house if it's toys are not around. Jeff Soto designed these posters for the 311 show in New Braunfels, Texas Sunday night.

Jeff on the design:

I never really liked what I sent over, it was so tame and friendly, and really with a gig poster for a rock band (even though 311 is pretty chill) you're looking for more conflict, more "horns" or something. I approached the final poster with the same concept but scrapped the original (boring) sketch.

Regular edition is a 6 color screen print measuring 18x24 inches with a signed & numbered edition of 50.

Rainbow Foil is a 5 color screen print measuring 18x24 inches with a signed & numbered edition of 25.

Gold Foil is a 5 color screen print measuring 18x24 inches with a signed & numbered edition of 20.

Cubic Foil Variant is a 5 color screen print measuring 18x24 inches with a signed & numbered edition of 10.
