Those rock n roll gigposters in Scream 4

No comments:

Wes Craven's Scream 4 movie opened this weekend. And if you happened to see a bunch of gigposters in it and wondered hey did those, I have the answer.

His name is Jeremy Wheeler and he is a poster artist from Michigan whose work is prominently featured in Scream 4.

BACKSTORY: last summer, Wes Craven made Ann Arbor his home while shooting the long-awaited sequel. As luck would have it, the art director spotted some of Jeremy's work at Vault of Midnight, a local Eisner Award-Winning comic shop that he's done branding for, and contracted the use of around 20 pieces of artwork to use on the set. The above picture is a collection of screengrabs from the film’s two trailers pointing out a bit of what they used in the production. Most prominently featured is a silkscreened poster for The Rationals, with other pieces covering acts like The Mannequin Men, Davila 666, The Gore Gore Girls, The Muggs, and his own dance party, The Bang! used in background shots.
