I guess that’s why I love video games and art so much till this day. You get to create worlds and live in them and escape from reality. Real life is stressful and sometimes is too much. Jordan Mendenhall Megaman Print On Sale Today

1xRUN are excited to welcome back California artist Jordan Mendenhall as he joins the, for his second RUN with his unique take on the iconic Megaman . For his debut RUN Mushroom Kingdom , Mendenhall paid homage to Mario, this time around he has turned to another iconic Nintendo hero available in several colorways, as he would appear in the game advancing levels. "Through video games you can escape for a little while and be free from life’s problems and difficulties. After my recent drawing of Mario, I thought I would do some other video game characters such as Megaman, Link from Zelda, and Bomberman, which some later became paintings. At the time I was being taught so many new techniques about how to paint all at once while I was apprenticing, I needed to start trying to master all the techniques through hours and hours of practice behind the easel." - Jordan Mendenhall

"Mario didn't choose to end up this way, it was his addiction, his addiction to "power ups" (aka mushrooms). He fought through multiple kingdoms looking for his love of his life Peach. Day after day out he started to lose hope, thinking that he will never find his love again. He started using "power ups" as a way to escape. The world as he knew started to change. His pet Iguana Yoshi turned into a dinosaur that he would ride around. His pet turtle Bowser became an evil enemy that would keep him away from his true love by hiding her in his castles. What he didn't know was that the world he came to know was in his head. It was the power ups that were creating these hallucinations." - Jordan Mendenhall
