"This painting was part of a show that was based on the transition of life into death. The in-between place when we leave this Earth, the void. I was playing with the idea of what takes place as we parish, the moments when our soul separates from our body. This piece shows the transitions of my styles at that time in my life, morphing into something new and exciting." - Michael Page

Michael Page Odin's Protector Print On Sale Today

As Michael Page returns for his 4th RUN with 1xRUN they are really excited to showcase these hand-embellished archival pigment prints of one of his latest pieces "Odin's Protector."

"Odin's Protector was created to watch over the most important person in my world. Odin was made to represent a new uprise or re-birth for a new birth. The original was painted with acrylic paint with layers of oil over the top to give a depth affect and glow to the piece. I also added gold flakes and glitter in some areas. It was created from 2011- 2012." - Michael Page

Michael Page Late Light Hand-Embellished Edition Print On Sale Details

"This painting is based on a story about Crazy Horse and his battles against the U.S. Government to fight for territories and the way of life for his people. The original piece is 50 x 56 inches painted with acrylic and oil on a canvas stretched over wood panel mixed with many layers of liquin and varnish to make it glow. " - Michael Page

Michael has an upcoming exhibition at White Walls Gallery in San Francisco on April 14th 2012.

White Walls is pleased to present Élan Vital, an accumulation of Michael Page’s new work into what is guaranteed to be an impressive solo show. The show has been much awaited since a 2011 solo show at Shooting Gallery, entitled Into Passing, where the artist created visual landscapes made stunning with ethereally blended colors and dreamlike scenes. With a much larger space to utilize, Élan Vital will feature thirty paintings and six drawings, as well as an installation. The opening reception is Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 7-11 pm, and the exhibition is free and open to the public for viewing through May 5, 2012

Michael Page (b.1979) lives and works as a full time artist in San Francisco, CA. Michael paints in all mediums and sizes. He has shown his work nationally and internationally throughout both Europe and the United States including the cities of Reykjavik, Berlin, Bristol , Rome and Montreal.
