Italian artist Peeta is back with a new print at 1xRUN today titled Tell Your Bumps.

"This piece is part of a 2011 production. Most of the works I have painted during the last part of that year follow the same trend: the painting of fictional brush strokes over the 3d piece on canvas. The practice inspired me to create new volumetric and dynamic effects.

Each time I paint a new canvas, I aim to discover the most optimal way to use colors, light and shade to reach a three-dimensional result. Layering splashes of color over the letters brings into keen focus their three-dimensionality, transforming them into real objects that not only cast shadows but also receive or obscure the subsequent blottings and swipes of paint." - Peeta

"This piece was part of 2011 production. It is part of “triple and double pieces” series where three/two different pieces differently colored coexist in the same canvas.

I'm always trying to improve my technical skills. Also, despite the depth of research into technical and formal perfection, the materialness of three-dimensional painting hides a deeply spiritual side, which I am managing to enrich during the years." - Peeta

Peeta Speaking Quantum Print On Sale Today

"I am very passionate in studies about spirituality and it's connections with the physical world. This canvas derives it's title from the chapter of a book on quantum theory I have recently read. Contemporary studies have discovered a link between quantum theory and spirituality. The conclusion asserts that what makes things happen is a sort of language-of-feelings that has a direct effect on the physical universe thanks to a transfer of energies from the spirit of the individual to the surrounding reality and then back to the individual with the same quality. In this sense "Speaking Quantum" means to be able to speak the language of feelings to positively affect the physical reality. This canvas is, in fact, more emotional and less rational than usual. For example, it is the only canvas where shades of colour have not been made with airbrush but with pencil." - Peeta

Peeta Negotiation Print On Sale Today

"This canvas was shown at and painted for Moniker Art Fair in London. It was a very busy period for our studio and we were in the middle of a negotiation processes to decide works prices, dates and solve all of the organization issue. “Negotiation” is the word that best describes my way of doing business. But more deeply it also means internal negotiation for personal decisions. The chaotic background is in contrast with the clean and plain shape in the foreground. The big brush stroke in the background is composed by a tiny bit of black, pure cerulean blue and pure white not mixing them together. They are the basic color elements in the nearly exact quantity i used to create all the shades and tones that i used to paint one of my most flawless, volumetric and sharp pieces. Metaphorically, it represents the initial confusion of possibilities against the final concentration of decisions, and i think that decision is a force that make things happen." - Peeta

Confidence art print by Italian graffiti artist Peeta

Manuel di Rita aka Peeta is an Italian artist born in a small town near Venice, Italy. In the early 90's he took on the moniker Peeta within the Italian graffiti scene, as his craft evolved, he joined the Paduan EAD crew and became one of the area's most well respected artists.

Confidence is a great example of Peeta's style. The colors create a bold, vibrant image and Peeta's use of shading and shapes creates the illusion of 3-D sculpture occupying a 2-D space. The illusion he creates with paint is something only a master could accomplish. Peeta's work intersects the line of beautiful, fine art, and gritty street influences.
