311 were in Southern California this past weekend and had a couple of new artists to the 311 world create the posters.

Danny Excess created a sick looking poster for the show at Del Mar. Show edition was numbered out of 113 with 25 foil variants.

Derek Hatfield did the poster for San Francisco last night. Show edition was numbered out of 113 with 25 foil variants.

Danny Excess Puscifer Minneapolis Poster

Danny Excess did the Puscifer poster for their 3/23 Minneapolis show, a part of the Zoltron Money Shot Round II series. The AP regular edition released by the band was an edition of 140 (sold out). He released an AP edition of 50, the regular AP edition is currently available in the store on his site, www.dannyexcess.com

The poster is 18x24, 5 colors, hand numbered and signed, inspired by 1985 cyberpunk, trapperkeepers & luchadors.

Danny Excess CHVRCHES Los Angeles Poster

Danny Excess has rad looking new poster for the band CHVRCHES.

I asked him about how he came up with it:

I basically just wanted to do something based on the name CHVRCHES, and reflective of the sound of their music.
The owl is nocturnal, it sees in the dark, it has the ability to see what others do not see. It is believed that the presence of the owl announces change. The traditional meaning of the owl spirit animal is the announcer of a life transition, change. In this case, the owl is seen in space, with a third eye that symbolizes the awakening of our conciseness in the Church that exists in our minds.

Danny Excess Royal Blood Southwest Tour Poster

Happy Super Blood Moon! Danny Excess has a new Royal Blood poster.  It's his third time working with Royal Blood this year. This is the limited edition screen print for their last tour of the year. The poster is 18x24”, 6 color with metallics, edition of 200.

 I talked with Danny on the design:

An alchemist devises a plan to harness the power of a blood moon eclipse in order to take the form of a Tiger and overthrow a monarchy. In his unrecognizable animal state, he uses the speed and ferociousness of the Tiger that he has channeled in order to overthrow the monarch, and obtain Royal Blood.
