The Who Young Vic 50th Anniversary Poster by Paul Kreizenbeck

On April 26, 1971, The Who performed at a small theatre in London during the recording of what would become their best album (in our humble opinion) Who’s Next. It was at a time the band was at its most creative, having released their critically acclaimed rock opera Tommy (1969) two years prior, releasing Who's Next four months after this concert, and then Quadrophenia (1973) two years later.

Now fifty years to the day of The Who live at the Young Vic, Iconic by Collectionzz are releasing this special, limited edition screenprinted poster by Paul Kreizenbeck to commemorate not only this performance, but a legendary era of one of the best and most influential rock bands in history!

Black Crowes Poster By Paul Kreizenbeck Release

 Collectionzz is on a roll with releasing impressive art over the past 8 months, and it continues tomorrow when they introduce The Black Crowes to their growing lineup of officially licensed prints. The Black Crowes are one of the greatest American rock and roll bands in history, and released their 5x platinum debut album Shake Your Money Maker in 1990 when Rich Robinson was only 21 years old, and Chris Robinson was only 24. Despite their youthfulness, they performed with old soul as though they had been doing it for 50 years. So with that in mind, when creating their first print for the Crowes, Collectionzz wanted to illustrate that balance of youthful energy and old soul, and of course utilize that iconic Crowes logo:

The two-headed crow is meant to symbolize the two Robinson brothers, who have been the only constant members of the band since it's formation in 1984. I spent some time researching the band's art through its history and it has always struck a balance between hippy psychedelia and an aesthetic more serious and sincere. I think the band's music often walks that line as well, and I've tried to capture that feeling in this print. Paul Kreizenbeck Ween Kansas City Poster Release

I'm not a fan of Ween but this is a really cool looking poster by Paul Kreizenbeck for the band that has a nice fresh approach to the Boognish image.

Paul had this to say about the design "I read somewhere that the Boognish is an inter-dimensional being that appeared to Gene and Dean in the early days, so I was inspired by that and wanted to play around with what sorts of worlds the Boognish visits on his travels."

Paul Kreizenbeck Umphrey's McGee & Mike Gordon Posters

Paul Kreizenbeck has released two different beasts for shows that took place over the Feb. 16-17 weekend.

The cosmic tiger priest, master of geometry for Umphrey's McGee and Conscious Alliance in Asheville is an 18x24, 4 color print, has an artist edition of 20 and costs $30.

The alligator trapped in a maze of steps (how did he get in there?) for the Mike Gordon concert in Los Angeles is an 18x24, 5 color print, has an artist edition of 30 and costs $25.
