Dead Rockstar Posters on sale today from Joshua Budich and Meme Machine

Blunt Graffix held their "DEAD ROCKSTARS" group show this past week. Joshau Budich was fortunate to be able to contribute 2 new pieces to this amazing event. "I'm No Good" (Amy Winehouse) and "Take It" (Janis Joplin) are both 12"x24, 3-color screenprints; limited-editions of 100.

The Meme Machine also did a print, 'God Save Punk Rock' edition of only 25, signed & numbered.

TME sent me an email yesterday and wanted me to share this with everyone.
Now I know you are asking who is TME? So I had him write me a little bio:


I am a native South African, neo-POp arTist. After finishing my studies in visual communication I left South Africa for London where I had been living, working and creating art right up until recently. I have just finished traveling South America and currently back in South Africa working on new works for an exhibition later this year.

With my background in visual communication and my experience of both 1st and 3rd world societies I have become fascinated, almost captured by the visual and linguistic meme ( hence 'Meme Machine'), specially the western 'popular culture' memes .They are far and wide, they continue to be replicated, consumed, transmitted and appropriated. From person to person culture to culture. bits of information always on the move. They are never mistaken and, if strong enough never forgotten. Symbols and phrases, viruses of our cultural DNA.

And what better playground to explore memes than in the house of pop, the kingdom of regurgitated glorified symbols:)
