Phish Atlanta 2012 Poster by Mike Davis Holiday Poster Giveaway

Day 3 of the Holiday Poster Giveaway continues on the blog for the best readers in the world, ALL OF YOU !!!  Today's gift is Mike Davis' Phish poster for the show in Atlanta back in 2012 at Aaron's Amphitheatre. Mike Davis put together this surreal landscape in a faraway land filled with ropes, tunnels, steps, bridges, holes, and ladders all leading up to a giant maze. This is a 19 x 25" four color screenprint on acid-free, archival Cougar brand Natural paper. It came from the Burlesque Design Scratch & Dent pile so it's not signed or numbered and there is no visible issues with it the poster.

Phish Holmdel New Jersey Poster by Mike Davis

Mike Davis of Burlesque Design is always happy to get to do some design and screenprinting work for the almighty lords of jam, the legendary Phish. This poster is for their July 10th performance at Holmdel, NJ's PNC Bank Arts Center, just a few miles inland from the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.

Featured in this design is Sandy Hook Lighthouse, the oldest working lighthouse in the United States, located just off the coast, a few miles from Holmdel.

Thousand Hills Cattle Poster by Mike Davis

As part of Chowgirls Catering's FOOD & BEV poster show, Mike Davis was paired up with Thousand Hills Cattle, a farm in Cannon Falls MN producing grass-fed beef. This poster was designed to promote their lovely and delicious line of products and to adorn the walls of your kitchen or butcher shop. This print is on display at Chowgirls Parlor throughout September alongside several other posters designed by some of BoNA's favorite Minneapolis postermakers!

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this print will go to Open Arms of Minnesota, helping bring food to those in need.

Phish Poster for August 25th Atlanta by Mike Davis On Sale Details

Burlesque of North America were recently asked by the folks from Phish to design and screenprint a poster for the band's August 25th performance at Aaron's Amphitheatre in Atlanta GA. AZIZ ANSARI SHOW PRINT By Wes Winship and Mike Davis

Wes Winship and Mike Davis recently tag-teamed this poster design for Aziz Ansari's April 25th show at Austin's Paramount Theatre, part of the Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival.

Aziz is one of their favorite comedians, so this was a really fun one to work on. From his "Shittiest Mixtape Contest" to Human Giant to his hilarious standup specials to Parks & Recreation to Raaaaaaaandy to his recent guest spot on Bob's Burgers, Aziz's career has been a fun one to follow. The National Philadelphia poster by Mike Davis on sale detail

American rock group The National is preparing for second of a two-night run at Philadelphia's historic Academy of Music. Mike Davis took on poster design duties for the shows, capturing both the history and majestic qualities of the Academy as well as the colorful fact that this is a rock concert! Two of them, at that! A highly detailed architectural rendering of the venue meets groovy patterns and ornate lettering. It's all here!

Mike Davis Animal Print on sale today

Burlesque of North America have wrapped up production on the official follow up to Mike Davis' Alphabet print. Just as that print was dedicated to his niece, this new print was designed on the occasion of the birth of Mike's nephew David! BoNA debuted this six-color print of angular animal illustrations, screenprinted by Ben LaFond, at Flatstock in Seattle and this week it will become available though their online store. It's hard to believe they are already up to the fourth edition of Mike Davis' Alphabet print! Originally designed and printed in 2007, they have slightly changed up the color scheme and made subtle design alterations each time the poster is reprinted just to make sure each edition is discernable from the others. This brightly-colored poster makes a great baby shower gift, birthday gift for a niece / nephew, or will go perfectly in your design studio or classroom.

When Burlesque of North Americas friends at Stones Throw Records approached them about designing and printing a concert poster for his royal flyness, the one and only boogie funk ambassador DâM-FunK, they jumped at the chance!
