Sket One Faith No More Boston Poster World Premiere Exclusive

1 comment:

As I have said before, it's always great to see new artists do a gigposter for the first time. Tonight graffiti artist, illustrator and toy designer Sket One did the poster for the Faith No More show in Boston.

I asked Sket One about his first rock poster:
I was stoked to do the poster, always enjoyed rock posters and the culture behind them so being involved in one was exciting. FNM has a great attitude as a band. So connecting my Hood Goodz characters through art to FNM was a natural choice. I hope people enjoy it and hope to do more posters in the future.
The regular edition poster is signed & numbered edition of 115, there will be around 100 at the show signed by the band. There is also a foil variant edition of 20. Yes everyone is aware that the wrong date is on the poster, dates changed after they were printed.

Both posters will be available via Secret Serpents at 9:00 AM PDT on Saturday May 16th

Sket One Our Father Print Release

No comments:

Sket One is back with a new release and his Holy Father on Friday at 1xRUN.

Sket One is a Los Angeles based visual artist with an old school urban background. Uniting pop culture reference, strong color, and bold type, Sket One has created a diverse and impressive portfolio of work including graffiti, toys, customs, canvases, and apparel. He joins us for his second RUN and again the force is strong with this one.

"I was 7 years old when Star Wars was released and I think within my age group Star Wars is a way of life, ingrained to say the least. I started the concept of the piece over 3 years ago, but needed the means and time to execute it. It is the start of a bigger series that I will be doing, straying away from my normal custom toy venue to focus on more of a higher artistic road. The commandment “Thou shall not worship false idols” was going to be a show title for me and still might be, but I will have a whole gallery show dedicated to Star Wars and this piece is one of that show." - Sket One

Our Father is on sale Friday at NOON EST at 1xRUN.com

Sket One Helix of Joy art print

No comments:

Sket One has teamed up with the US charity The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for a new print available on January 12th for just $25 and limited to 25. The Helix of Joy features one of Sket's classic characters, Ripple, in a nice repeat pattern.

What's more this 11x17 piece will donate 50% of the profits to the NBCF. The charity is committed to spreading knowledge and fostering hope in the fight against breast cancer. By funding free mammograms for women who could otherwise not afford them and supporting research programs in leading facilities across the US.

Big respect to Sket and NBCF. If you aren't lucky enough to grab one of the limited prints but have just $10 to spare for this amazing cause you can also donate here: http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/Donate/
