"While most media are distracted with gossip and tabloids, the bee population in the US has plunged 90% since the 1990s. This past January, a bumblebee species has been placed on the endangered spices list for the first time.

Tes One Reservations Print Benefiting Standing Rock

Tes One has a new print that he just released, to spread awareness on the conflict at Standing Rock and hopefully raise some money for them as well. What is happening to Native Americans out there is a disgrace all in the name of money for the oil industry.

“Reservations” is a painting Tes One created a few years ago and he never imagined that it would be as relevant as it is today.

Tes One Waterworks Print To Benefit Flint

 

This Flint Water Crisis news has been devastating to witness, and Tes One is back on the grind. He created this art print titled “Waterworks" that will be releasing this Thursday to help raise money for the Flint Child Health & Development Fund (flintkids.org).

Tes One Reflective Practice Print

Spanning 40 feet tall and over 430 feet wide, 1xRUN alum Tes One and Bask recently knocked out a massive Stay Curious mural as the centerpiece for the art project positioned directly across from The Tampa Museum of Art and the Glazer Children's Museum. Located in the heart of Tampa's downtown arts district, the work encourages people of all ages to discover and explore the creativity that surrounds them.

"The title “Reflective Practice” refers to the importance of reflecting on your actions in moments of creativity. Observing these discoveries; practicing and learning from them. Wisdom begins in wonder.

An earlier version of this painting was created about a year ago for an exhibit I had in San Francisco. While planning out the “Stay Curious” murals in Tampa, it became one of my significant contributions to the project; now as a 5-story mural near the Glazer Children’s Museum." - Tes One

Tes One Attention Needed Print Release for CHD Awareness

Tes One made a print edition to raise awareness of CHD (Congenital Heart Defect) and support for a friend’s son who is currently battling the condition.

Proceeds from the sale of this print go directly to their recovery efforts.

Less then a week ago, an old friend reached-out asking if I could create something to help spread awareness of a heart condition his infant son, Quinn is currently dealing with.

The condition is CHD (Congenital Heart Defect), and nearly 40,000 infants in the US are born with it each year. CHD can obstruct blood flow, blood production and the overall structure of the heart. Quinn has already gone through two heart surgeries within his 7 months of life to correct the problem.

The favor he asked of me was somewhat daunting at first – but I set aside whatever hesitation (and projects) I had and decided to do what I could.

In the past 48 hours, I’ve been working on a simple painting for the cause, during which I’ve been attempting to get a hold of my friend to discuss how I could make the best use of the work. No response. Finally going on the third day, I receive a mass text stating Quinn needed yet another emergency surgery and is in recovery right now.

I can’t begin to imagine how difficult this all must be for Quinn, my friend, and others who are dealing with CHD in their lives.

Considering the pace of the surgeries, and that this is CHD Awareness Week – I’ll be making a print available of the painting, titled “Attention Needed” this Friday, February 14th. Proceeds will help Quinn in anyway they can.

Tes One Outside Laser Cut Print Series

Tes One just redid his website and launched a new print series titled Outside which features 3 Laser Cut Prints and they look pretty sweet.

Each one is 15.75 x 19.75 Inches the 3 laser-cut prints make up the “Outside” print series. Each print is cut from French Paper / 100# Steel-Grey Cover Stock, backed with a thinner, text-weight color sheet. The backing paper simply comes along with the print (not attached), so it’s optional to use when framing.

Tes One Taking Tree Print Release Details

Originally a painting made in 2006 by Tes One, the relevance of “Taking Tree” seems to only grow larger in the void that individual privacy once filled. As the debate over why and if these actions are necessary rages on - remain mindful of who provides you information, and who takes it.

A limited run of 50 “Taking Tree” archival prints measuring 18 x 18 inches, along with 15 hand-embellished prints. Each print in this hand embellished edition includes a stenciled binary code overlay. No two prints are alike. Both will be released on June 20th at 12 NOON EDT over at tesone.com

Tes One Stand Our Ground Trayvon Martin Benefit Poster On Sale Details

"Laws should be designed to protect the innocent, the unarmed, the child walking back home from the corner store. Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law (and similar laws in 31 states) does the opposite by giving license to any aggressor with a gun, and allowing them to claim self-defense as their reasoning to shoot and kill another person.

I created “Stand Our Ground” for people – regardless of race or gender, to stand in solidarity against the injustice this law allows. Adding awareness to the Trayvon Martin tragedy, and aiding his family in their pursuit of justice.
