Some of you may not remember Deep Purple, but they are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although their musical approach changed over the years they are still rocking after 45 years. With songs like Smoke On the Water and Space Truckin they solidified their place in rock history.
Kii Arens did a poster for their show in Los Angeles back in 2011 and his cousin Colin was kind enough to give me one at Flatstock to giveaway to you my fine readers. The poster is 16 x 24 4-color Fluorescent Matte Lithograph. For fun I decided to check it out under a black light, WHOA duuude these colors just pop. Looking at the poster long enough you can just about feel the shag carpet between your toes and smell the incense as Jon Lord is banging away on the organ.
Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment (maybe your favorite Deep Purple Song) to have a chance at winning the poster. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until Midnight PDT Saturday August 3 that's almost two days to enter with the winner announced on Sunday.
HUGE THANK YOU to Kii and Colin Arens for the poster. Be sure to check out Kii's work at www.lalalandprints.com
